Nobody's wrote this up yet? Sorry if this sucks....

We start, the day after a PPV, with recap of the PPV? Nope, it's Uncle Eric talking on a cell phone as he gets out of his (!) LIMO. He's talking to somebody about somebody who's coming in tonite he claims that TNA is better than that "cesspool" the person was working in.

Oh, NOW we get a PPV Recap. And, did you know the Pope won the 8 Card Stud tourney? YEP! And, he is on the way to the ring. He's talking about how great it is to be him, and how he is going to beat AJ and then starts talking smack about Dick Flair (OOOH! BURN!). Flair and AJ come out(with possibly the four tallest women on the planet) and after a few back and forth (including the old Flair pointing at somebody in the crowd and telling them to shut up) they lay a beat down on The Pope and they do a Dusty on his leg.

Next up we get news that TNA is moving to Mondays. DID YOU KNOW?

Daffney makes her way to the ring to battle Tara. Taz calls Daffney "Zombie Hot". Tara starts the match and after a while it goes outside and Daffney beats he with a tool box, then slams her around for a bit and covers her with a side rail and proceeds to beat on the side rail with a chair. Tara sells it like she's dead. Won't somebody think of the spider? Dr Stevie comes out and drags Daffney away.

Next we get Foley in Bischoff's office and he's apologizing for not using the rubber, oops barb wire bat at the PPV against Abyss. But Eric cuts him off, says it's okay, and he knows Foley did his best. Then he has two tailors (But not Dave Taylor) start measuring Mick for a suit. He tells him to go out and get some new duds, and Uncle Eric is paying.
Then Eric sits and has an evil grin. He then makes a phone call and demands Abyss be sent to his office.

Tenay "Hey look Taz, Kevin Nash has arrived, and he doesn't look happy."

Orlando Jordan comes out with a male and a female... associates? I know they are talking about building a story around Jordan's Bi-Sexuality. Tenay and Taz sorta plant the seeds for that storyline. Samoa Joe's music hits but he's nowhere to be seen. We cut to backstage where Eric B tells him he isn't impressed and dared him to go make a good impression.

Joe starts off hot, but then for some reason, Orlando Jordan gets a ton of offense. Joe starts to loose his cool, and a comeback looks imminent but eats a codebreaker looking move and takes the loss.

Abyss asks JB what Eric wants. JB doesn't know. Says he's getting prepped for the post IMPACT show on the interwebnets.

We come back from a commercial and Eric is lambasting Abyss for not using the bat. He tries to get in "I used the thumb tacks" to which Eric replies "I TOLD YOU TO USE THE BAT!"
He tells him he's going to get his mask! (Rey Mysterio tried to warn you!)

Eric tells Jarrett that HE must use the bat against Abyss tonight. Double J does not look too happy about it.

Oh wow! An X Division 8 man tag with Kendrick, Doug Williams and the Motor City Machine Guns vs Amazing Red, Low Rent Hardy Boyz and the returning Kazarian! Surely he isn't the returning former champ they've been hyping. Yep, it was. Why did Bischoff feel the need to make a phone call about THAT?

A whole lot of X division action (flips, near falls, no selling, etc) that ends with Kazarian hitting a sling shot DDT on Williams for the win.Fun little match if you like that kind of thing.

Abyss tries to leave but somebody stops him and tells him he has a match. He makes his way to the ring, and then Jeff Jarrett comes out with the bat. He's all like "sorry gotta do it" and Abyss acts like it's a bar of soap, and refuses to get near it. Back and forth with a lot of pretty decent action from Jarrett (considering how long he's been away). Abyss sets a chair up in the corner, but Jarret slams him into it. Eric comes out and demands Double J use the bat. He picks it up, looks at it and throws it to the ground. This does not please Eric, who says "come on out guys" and we get a run in from Raven! Desmond Wolfe! Rhyno! and Homicide! (see, those guys DO still have jobs!) They hold Abyss down and he's about to rip his mask off, but HOGAN! makes the save. (Eric no sells Hogans music at first, but then pulls the "OH NO!" face.) Hogan comes in, tells Abyss to get his ass in his office. Eric tries to play "I was just gonna...." but Hulk is hearing none of it.

Next Up Beer Money Inc comes out and makes pretty quick work of the British Invasion. After the match Brutus slaps around Terry and tells him what a loser he is, but Rob Terry comes back and clotheslines him down for his troubles.

Abyss is in Hogans office, pacing around and yelping. I keep expecting him to say "MY MOMMA DONE TOLD ME... TO BRING HOME THE DINNER"(you know, like Baby Huey)... Hogan comes in, and asks if Abyss knows who Superman is, Abyss claims he does. He asks if he knows who Popeye is, and Abyss says yeah. Hogan says "superman has a cape, and popeye has his spinach, and here's my Hall of Fame ring, it gives me power"
Abyss acts like he's going to cream his jeans as Hogan hands him the ring and tells him he can have it, and he should use it to make him a monster.

Big Sexy is still there, and still pacing.

Daniels is out to take on Kurt Angle who's sporting some stitches. Daniels gets about 40 seconds of offense before Kurt has enough, puts on an ankle lock and makes Daniels Tap. (is this where I say 'poor Daniels, he was main eventing a month or two ago'?)
Kurt gets on the mic and tells Mr Anderson he's man enough to admit when he gets beat. He says losing didn't make him mad, he's mad that Anderson used his "tag" to bust him open before spitting on him. The crowd applauds and gives a USA chant. He tells us why the tag means so much to him, he starts crying about his divorce, his arrest, and shaming his kids. As he takes a crying break, he gets an applause and an Angle chant breaks out. He thanks the crowd, then talks about sitting in the jail cell, and praying to God and after he posted bail, he went to Ft Hood Texas where he met some amazing people. He retells about a soldier coming up to him and saying "I Believe in You". and he gave him the medal.
Kurt reads the inscription, which is all about being a warrior and taking care of your brother soldiers, and gets a nice round of applause. He tells Anderson that when he cut him with it, he didn't just make HIM bleed, he made soldiers, their families, and all the citizens of the country bleed.
He then says "Mr Anderson, you didn't spit on me, you spit on those soldiers, and you spit on the USA, and for that I'm going to make you suffer" USA USA USA! *might work better if he was wrestling a foreigner.*

As Kurt is about to leave, Anderson comes out, wearing his Favre Packers throwback jersey! And we go to commercial. (there were commercials before this one, I just didn't point it out)

We're back and Anderson makes fun of Angle for sucking up to the people, and Kurt finally gets tired of Anderson talking smack and he runs up the ramp and beats on Anderson. But Anderson gets the upper hand, knocks him down and yells ANDERSON! in his face.

JB is outside trying to talk to Samoa Joe, who no sells the interview and just walks away.

But, Joe gets abducted by guys in a white van and wearing black hoodies. Oh now. A kidnap angle! I'd be cool with the angle if it was Raven who kidnapped him and he turned Joe into a mini Raven (they're recycling everything else, so why not)

Nash and Young are out to call out Waltman and Hall. He's got the "I'm not going to be snarky" face on. He talks about the past and how he picked Hall and Waltman to be his friend. He says he also bought a black suit ten years ago, because he knew he'd be putting one of them in the dirt real soon. (is ten years really SOON?)
He talks about how he did everything he could to keep them employed and now he's carried them on his back for the last time. He invite them to come attack him. Right on cue, Hall and Pac come in. Hey look, Scott remembered how to tie the Tupac do(dew?)rag thingy.

Eric young slides out and goes after Pac. (that might be an actual good match.)

Hall comes in and throws the toothpick at Nash and a little brawl ensues. But before it could get good, security comes in and breaks it up. They are all struggling to get at each other when HOGAN! comes out and stares them all down.(Uh Oh, Dad's pissed!)
Hall says "See you next week". And we're done.

I was out until about 11pm PST, so I wasn't able to catch the show tonight. But from the looks of it, I'm kinda glad I didn't.

Why did they job Samoa Joe clean to Orlando Jordan? Who's booking this crap?

It sure was interesting! They're giving Joe a losing streak storyline AND a kidnapping storyline -- those are two NEVER-MISS storylines right there!

Seriously, has a losing streak gimmick ever ended with the wrestler better off than he started? I mean, I guess it's better to be Joe than Daniels, who will be lucky to have a job in a year. His match with Angle was one of the few times I would've rather seen Morley than Daniels.

Anyway, back to Jordan -- I don't know that the match was so much about Jordan winning as it was about Joe losing. But I think there's definitely a push for Orlando nevertheless, with the new entrance video, the two (two!) valets, and tonight's win.

I have deep, deep doubts that his bi gimnmick will work out -- if my limited live show experience is any guide, the monkeys in the production truck are going to be spending a lot of time beeping out "faggot" chants. On the one hand, it's ballsy to try it and props to Jordan for doing it, but I'm concerned that they're just using OJ's sexuality to get heel heat, which is kinda lame. I imagine we'll be seeing some "hilarious" gay panic in the ring, with the face wrestler giving the touchy-feely queer a well-deserved beating while the crowd roars in approval.

Nice to see Kaz back. Arrivals happen with relative infrequency (well, not right now, I guess), so I wish they had given him a quick promo video for the last couple of weeks or something. Planned departures are even rarer -- I wish they had done something interesting with Suicide, assuming he's done. Actually, they could put someone else in the suit if they wanted -- I was just hoping that the "WHO IS SUICIDE" thing would pay off in some way.

Not sure what I think of the Bischoff Bunch. That's a motley group of dudes, and it feels like a demotion for Wolfe. Stagger, you forgot Tomko! (And Poland!)

Rest of the matches were barely even there. Last fifteen minutes was promos. I have no idea why Waltman and Hall still get to close out every show, it seems like.

I see I've spent most of this post opining on Orlando Jordan. Eh, that's the kind of show it was this week -- so much going on, none of it very interesting.

Hogan and Bisch love Jordan, apparently. And they cut a gay kiss out after getting some heat from the locker room over it.

I'm glad to see Kaz back. Back when we thought Destination X was going to be an all X Division PPV I was really hoping that Sabin, Kaz and Daniels would all be in the Ultimate X match and they would be hyped as the three guys that have been in the most Ultimate X matches and won the most (I believe Petey is fourth). At least one of them might make it now.

Bischoff's crew is a total random group of guys. Tomko is a good enforcer but I'd rather see him with another wrestler and Raven shouldn't be working for anybody. I guess I should be happy Homicide is getting a chance to do anything.

Daniels continues to job but at least Beer Money is back and won rather easily. I hope they win the titles from Morgan/Hernandez soon. (Well, REALLY I hope MCMG wins the titles but you know...)

I've done my share of bemoaning the amount of talking on a wresting show, but Hogan/Abyss and Angle/Anderson were marvelous. Hogan broke out of his routine for the coronation. Anderson's promo made me wish he was better in the ring because he was hitting all cylinders. Angle was Angle again.

Jordan's tornado backstabber worked because Joe got distracted (continuing the "focus" angle from the PPV) and shoved the ref. He went stupid and paid for it. He's beaten Pope and Joe since coming to TNA.

Pope is feeling it, and I enjoy watching him.

I do not want to see Corporate Mankind again.

Most wrestling shows, to varying degrees, have always had their good moments, and they have always had their head scratching moments. This show is no different. As cool as the stuff with Pope, Angle/Anderson were, we get Joe jobbing to Jordan, and Daniels further spiraling down the card. Jordan is a semi fresh face (I don't think we have seen him in the US since around 2006), and TNA seems to be high on him, so we just have to live with that. Honestly, I don't mind him. Plus, Pope jobbed to him a month ago, and seemed to recover nicely. Joe took the loss, but there seems to be more to it than that, so maybe we should wait and see?

Frankly, I knew Daniels would not be a serous player in the new regime due to his size. I expected that to be the case with Joe too, just at the other end of the spectrum. It's hard to imagine Hogan, Mr. Hangin' and Bangin' himself, getting behind a Fat Boy as anything other than a monster heel of the month to feed to the champ, a la Bundy/Studd/Earthquake.

Yes, and I would factor a fair number of people on this board as well. So, I wasn't feeling the show at all. I liked a few things like pushing Daffney as a threat, Kurt/Anderson, Kaz being back and Pope/AJ. The rest was just there. I still don't know why they feel the need to continue to push the NWO? I don't know if Hogan/Bischoff is going anywhere then some weird parallel universe where when they are together they are on the same page and when alone its too different things. I just hope whatever they have plan for the live show is a more complete show. Joe should not job to Orlando ever, but Orton jobbed in a similar Cody and that was praised.

I don't think much of Cody(he's as bland as can be and really not over) but at least he is young and has some upside. Jordan has zero upside at all.

Also, the loss to Cody played into an ongoing, important storyline (the breakup of Legacy and the resulting feud).

Also, Orton sucks. OK, not everyone will agree with me about that...but I think few people think he should be the face of the company, the way most of us think Joe should be the face of TNA.

Thanks. He is my favorite Ranger of all-time. As far as Orton well he's grow on me. Rhodes and Dibiase bore me to tears. The storyline would mean more if they hadn't teased a Legacy breakup like 50 times already. As far as Joe I wish they would push him as an unbeatable monster like they did in '05-06 but since Russo became the head writer again Joe has been fubar'd.

I am not about to start a fan club for the guy, but to say Jordan has zero upside is a bit extreme. He has a decent look, and few decent moves. Many big names started out with nothing more than that. Do I like him more than Joe? Not even close, but Joe, as you pointed out, hasn't been booked properly under Russo for years now. We should probably never expect better than the occasional title match for him, like we have seen recently.

Comparing jobbing to Cody and Jordan is tricky. Cody has been receiving a half assed push for over a year now, and like Dibiase, I am beginning to wonder if they will ever pull the trigger on either guy. Or even if they should. Jordan is a fresh face in TNA who they are behind, and they are building him up with some wins against established guys in the company. Sounds like the definition of a push to me. I just wish they would do it with other guys, AKA, The Sheamus Complaint.

Absolutely. Legacy was feuding with each other and teasing dissension before they were even an official group. It's nuts. I think the only way this breakup comes anywhere in the universe to having the impact of Evolution, which was the idea, is if they use it to turn Orton face and the other two team up against him.

If they wanted to start a losing streak angle with Joe, I could have thought of much better guys than Jordan to job him to. All a Jordan win did was give fodder to cynics like us that the major pushes are going to Attitude era rejects instead of guys that have worked through TNA in the last couple of years. Hernandez wasn't even booked tonight. Why not give HIM that win, since they've been trying so hard to push him anyway?

So instead of a poor man's Foley, I'm supposed to buy Abyss as a poor man's Eugene? Is that really a step up?

Sadly that's what he has been playing the last year plus. I have been wishing that they would bring back Mitchell and turn him back into The Monster Abyss but it aint happening. They had teased that he was going back to the old Abyss in the past but the next week he goes back to laughing liike a loon and clapping his hands like Eugene.
