I didn't watch; here's the quick & dirty.

D'Angelo Dinero beats Desmond Wolfe
Matt Morgan beats Hernandez
Mr. Anderson beats Kurt Angle
Abyss beats Mick Foley

The Nasty Boys beat Team 3D due to a Jimmy Hart run in

D'Angelo Dinero beats Matt Morgan
Mr. Anderson beats Abyss

AJ Styles beats Samoa Joe to retain the World Championship

D'Angelo Dinero beats Mr. Anderson

Congrats to Psycho Penguin, who not only was the only one to predict the Pope's win, but also got the Tag match and World Title match right as well!

=D

I'm really looking forward to the next PPV already if they go with Styles vs Pope. Pushing people like Pope is what TNA needs to be doing, and it's nice to see them trying it. They can still have old veterans like Nash and Foley on the card, of course, but they got a nice blend going right now. Maybe Kennedy vs Angle on the undercard? I dunno.

As for this show, I am going to watch it today and post thoughts later. Looks like a fine card with good results.

Only okay from an in-ring point-of-view, but the Pope hard sell is great. I wish Bisch and Hogan didn't have to be involved in EVERY issue on the card. It's so irritating. I hope they just push ahead with Pope/AJ, free of the Bischoff/Flair stuff, but I doubt it. And I don't think Pope has a real shot of going over at this stage. Still, baby steps.

Ken Anderson is just ungodly boring, though.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

A Jimmy Hart run in? Seriously??? Oh boy, this stuff just writes itself.....

I also think that they do the right thing by pushing Pope, let's just see where this is headed.

I expect the Nasty Boys to hopefully end at Lockdown in a bloody brawl which is the only style they can still do or ever did. Pope was a pleasant surprise. I am curious to see how the tapings go this week. Lockdown is usually a really good PPV, I loved last year.

I've said a few times that I'm not a big Anderson fan and I think he really hindered this PPV as far as match quality. He really is boring in the ring and he wrestled 3 times. He made both Angle and Pope look like just so-so wrestlers. Also, as I'm sure everybody expected, Bischoff's involvement just took away from the World Title match.

I've grown to like Lockdown as well but it isn't until April. The X Division PPV Destination X is next. Maybe they go with Joe/Styles again since the finish was screwy, the feud was pretty short and they are the two biggest X Division stars over the years? Or maybe they start the Styles/Pope feud now so that the cage match at Lockdown is a bigger blow off? Whatever the case is, I'd love to see Joe/Wolfe when Pope fights Styles.

Either way I'm already pretty interested in the next 2 PPV thanks to curiosity about the X Division PPV and excitement about Styles/Pope. Will guys like Angle and Anderson not wrestle at Destination X? Or will they wrestle "X Division" type matches?

I guess the good news is that clearly Hogan is loyal to guys he likes. If Hogan really does like Pope and Wolfe then that could be great of them. It's unfortunate that guys like Daniels, Beer Money and Homicide have taken a backseat now but I guess no owner/booker/whatever is going to like ALL the same wrestlers I do.

FYI: If AJ does retain, have a non-title match, or doesn't wrestle at Destination X then he'll be the longest reigning TNA Heavyweight Champion when he wrestles Pope at Lockdown. (This does not include when TNA's title was the NWA title of course.)

I didn't think they'd push Pope to the main event this quickly, but they probably should strike while the iron's hot on this guy. I'm VERY pleased to see that he went over Anderson in the main event, as I thought Hogan cronyism would prove to be the difference in that match. And I definitely thought Anderson would get an easy win after Hall and Waltman beat down Dinero before the match. Score one for TNA.

Of course, they balance it out by keeping the insipid Team 3D/Nasty Boys feud going. And they introduce Jimmy Hart just to REALLY take us back to the 80's. Frankly, I'm shocked that it's taken this long for Jimmy Hart to show up on TNA television. Just like I'm shocked we haven't seen Brutus Beefcake in any fashion...yet.

Thanks for ruining a perfectly good Joe/Styles match by letting the angle take over, Uncle Eric!

Didn't like the way Hernandez went out. I didn't see anything wrong with him being counted out due to "injury", but having Morgan let him back in and still beat him makes Hernandez look like a chump. Honestly, I'm surprised they're pushing Pope before Hernandez, considering how long they've been at it with Super Mex's push.

Considering Jimmy Hart has a pretty significant history in TNA, I am also surprised that it took him this long to show up. When I think of the Nastys, I think of the 90s, but nothing screams 80s more than Hart. That's one way to take an angle that already seems 20 years outdated and make it seem like 30.

Speaking of surprises, it seems odd that Anderson would advance that far and not win, considering there were other workers in the tourney that might have put on better matches. Guess they wanted to keep him as strong as possible without actually winning. And Angle (or Foley!) doesn't really need to be wrestling 3 times in one night.

It seems like they cooled a little on Hernandez when they put him in a team with MM, even though that team is getting a decent push in that division.

Did not see the PPV, but am very glad to see Pope go over. I said in either the Impact or PPV prediction thread that he has the tools to break out as a big star, and this makes me feel like he is on his way. Good thing Elijah turned down that offer to be in the Spirit Squad, huh?

I think we're seeing a major reboot, not only are all these wrestlers gone ie Scott Steinier, Rock, Austin and Goldberg and others as well as all those gone this week and in recent months.
