Those extra two ring sides turned off a lot of people.

Week by week U.K. ratings I wouldn't take seriously, but a one month trend upward, probably means something.

Didn't RAW consistently beat Nitro in the UK during Nitro's winning streak in the US?

Raw was on one of the flagship satellite channels and promoted fairly well, the ppv's were all transmitted on the sports channel (for no extra charge) which most people who had satellite subs had anyway for the football which was the big driver of most early adopters to satellite telly here.

Nitro was stuffed on one of the other odd channels which tended to show random nonsense that made even daytime tv look decent.

Any sign that TNA, or any company for that matter, can become competition for WWE is good news to me. I feel that WWE overall has been putting out a better product ever since that fateful night when TNA went head to head with RAW. Now this may all be their annual road to Wrestlemania drive that is slightly upping the quality, but hopefully it is a more permanent change. We all win when there is competition.

Another thing to consider is that Impact is usually shown at 9pm, whereas the live showings of RAW are shown very early in the morning here in the UK, which probably splits the viewers between live (in my case DVR'd) or the repeat.

How does when Raw is shown affect TNA doubling their ratings? This is the one market where TNA can make strives is overseas. Most countries don't get many chances to see those guys live, so when they do come over its a big deal. I think WWE is going to be here in Hershey almost three times this year, one of them was a 3 hour Raw where they finally backed the place after two tries. If they do a tour every 6 months in Europe and England or even Japan, hell the Dudley Boys seem to be there once a month, it would help their product. WWE is a global entity, if TNA continues to promote outside the US more it will be consider one as well.

Well putting it like that, it doesn't. What I was getting at (poorly i suppose) is that RAW's ratings are all over the place due to its (UK) unfriendly live time vs Impacts 9pm Saturday slot. Impact also has repeats throughout the week although off the top of my head i couldn't tell you when/how often as at least some of the repeats are older shows.

And updated figures for anyone interested :
Impact (6th feb) 88000
Raw (2nd feb) 120000

Sadly for the Hulkster this equation doesn't seem to apply as much here in the States.

From prowrestling.net (prowrestling.net)

Thursday's TNA Impact earned a 1.2 rating with 1.6 million viewers, which was the same number they drew last week. Angelina Love and Tara vs. The Beautiful People drew the highest number of the show, a 1.31. The final segment involving Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, and The Band drew a show-low 1.02.
