Actually you DO owe the team that drafts you something, why do you think there's a draft to begin with? Players can't pick and choose where they want to go. Do you think Stafford wanted to go to Detroit last year? Probably not, but he did, because they drafted him and that's how it works. Very few players pull a John Elway on draft day, and the ones that do are wrong. Plain and simple.
Also, "I think Warner deserves to be in, but he did lose the starting job three times (Bulger, Eli, Leinart). He went from below the borderline to shoo-in in the last two years." is such a ridiculous argument considering he still performed when he DID play.

I'm thinking you don't understand how the NFL Draft works.
Team drafts you. Team then has the exclusive right to negotiate with you. You either sign and play with that team or don't sign and don't get to play NFL football for a year. Those are your choices. Sign a contract and become a member of the team or don't sign a contract and DON'T. You have two choices and nobody can tell you which one to pick.
By the way, pop quiz: Stafford went to the Lions because (a) he wanted the challenge of resurrecting the worst franchise in football history; (b) he wanted $40 million; or (c) all of the above.
yeah this retirement I actually believe, he has alot going on outside of football, and is a pretty awesome guy it seems. He will do well in retirement, soon to be giving motivational speeches in your area!!
