Saints win by 2 on a last-second field goal.

I also predict The Who's halftime performance goes terribly, terribly wrong.

Well, it comes down to the teams who were the best in the league for most of the season. It's the first time the two No. 1 seeds have met in the Super Bowl since Dallas and Buffalo in 1993.

I'm looking forward to a showdown between the league's two best quarterbacks. Peyton Manning was incredible in the second half against the Jets today - there is no throw that man cannot make. Brees wasn't quite as unstoppable, but I think Minnesota's defense is much better than Indianapolis' is. Ultimately I think Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush combine to make the difference.

My prediction for now is Saints by a touchdown or less.

Also, I still think the Colts should have played their starters in the final two regular season games.

My Prediction: Colts crush the Saints by 20 points or more.

The Colts are going to win easily if the Saints play like they did today. Indy by 10.

Manning is only a game over .500 in the post season, so he's due for a loss.

Drew Brees makes San Diego say "oops" as the Saints ring up at least 35 points in a rout.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

Not going to predict an actual result yet, but I sincerely hope WHO DAT? kill both the Tampa Bay Curse and Peyton Manning's soul deader than the Comic Book Guy admitting that he wasted his life.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

I'll give a more rational perdiction later on. For now though, I'll say it will be a game dominated by Peyton and the Colts will have the lead late in the game.... until his 'other' brother Cooper turns on him and QBs the Saints to a last minute victory! Who Dat? The champions, dat who.

Oh, and I'll also perdict Budweiser will come back and have some of their best commericals in a couple of years. It at least has to be better than last year's lameass offerings.

I would like nothing more than for the Saints to win their first Super Bowl in the home of the Hurricanes.

And those commercials will be canceled out by the Mannings awful Oreo commercials. Seriously, Peyton better be getting paid five times his usual price for those commercials.

I honestly don't care who wins. I like the Saints (I see them play my Panthers often), and I like Peyton. I'm gonna enjoy this.

But that halftime show is a joke.

I will say the Colts will win by 40-35 in a showdown of the league's 2 best offenses.

I am routing for Peyton Manning and the Colts so Manning can have multiple rings and have only the argument that "Peyton can't be one of the best QB's ever because he has only one ring" extinguished.

However, if the Saints win, I would not mind the least bit because New Orleans has been through so much and now they are on the biggest football stage and New Orleans is getting ready to party yet again.

I'm riding on the high of a Braylon-less Super bowl, so ultimately I will be happy for whichever team wins. I'm just hoping for bunches and bunches of scoring.

I'm gonna guess that the Colts win this one. Perfesser Peyton will dissect the Saints defense and just pick them apart as the game goes on.

BTW, extra congrats to the Saints for following the Cardinals in further reducing the list of teams who haven't been to the Super Bowl yet. (***SIGH***.)

Well, I am 7/10 in my playoff predictions largely because 1 predicted the NFC perfectly and since my original pick was New Orleans winning the Super Bowl, I will stick with that.

I feel the same way about Ric Flair and wrestling.
Just walk away already.

It is quite amazing in the last decade we've seen Super Bowl appearances by the former laughing stock Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and now the New Orleans Saints. Yay parity! It's nice for variety and each city getting to experience going to the big dance.

Who's left? The Browns and Lions?

The Saints of course are the likable underdogs.
The Colts are like the Yankees- bland yet experienced and talented and should squeak by with a win.

I read somewhere that the Lions are the last remaining NFC franchise to not go to a Super Bowl. As far as AFC teams go, I believe it's the Browns and Jaguars.
