I can't believe coming off a six week absence, the first new Office of 2010 is a clip show.

Although it was cool to see the clips, it highlighted what someone (Justin?) said a while back of how glamorous everyone looks now compared to when the series started. Some of that has to do with the HD video used today and how the sets are lit now, but yeah, everyone looks like the best version of themselves as opposed to looking downtrodden and sullen like in the first two seasons.

Best line was Toby's "I don't want to lie but I DON'T want to tell the truth."

If anything, I wish Computron becomes a cast regular. I loved Michael arguing with Computron.

The Employee of the Month sign in the parking lot... was that always there or did Michael make himself the Employee of the Month for January, 2010 without David Wallace's corporate oversight to keep the EOTM program on the up and up?

For being the first new episode of the year, I was a little disappointed that tonight's show was a clip show, however, I was more disappointed that they left out a couple of different clips, such as Pam screaming out "that's what she said" when she was in art school in NY, and the scene with Jim and Pam in the Parking Lot on Casino Night.

I really hope that with it being sold, that it's not the end of David Wallace, I really enjoy his character.

I loved the Pam interview segment when she explains that "everybody in New York is gone, so Michael is the highest ranking person at Dunder Mifflin".

Just the thought was terrifying.

If you can, these two organizations are hard at work in Haiti, so please give them a hand.

There was also a contrast between some of the subtle, understated line deliveries from the earlygoing and more overwritten stuff in later years. During the hysterectomy clip I was waiting for Meredith to say "I have a vagina. And I use it all the time cuz I'm a big whore, hyuck BURP."

Kristen Schaal was on Modern Family and one night later here was Doug.

If my TV had only received NBC for the past 5 years, this show would have been welcomed. But with the proliferation of "The Office" syndicated re-runs on TBS and the local channels, it felt like a complete waste of 19 minutes*. It reminded of the old "Survivor" clip shows and how I used to hate those with a passion, back in the days when I cared about that show.

* I suppose there was about 1 or 2 minutes of new footage that I enjoyed.

I finally watched this episode which had been lingering on my DVR. The fact that I waited this long to get around to watching what turned out to be a clip show made it that much more disappointing. Given all the anticipation, I think this might possibly be my least favorite episode of The Office. Ever.

On an unrelated-but-similarly-bizarre note, we used to run a property site that every month managed to attract significant numbers of people looking for "Billy Joe Armstrong topless".
