I've correctly predicted two out of eight games thus far, and both my Super Bowl teams have been eliminated. Well... I guess Colts over Saints seems like the most likely scenario to me now. Indy/NO is certainly by FAR the most appealing Super Bowl matchup.

I may have to pass on the Super Bowl if the Vikings are in it.

I'm batting 0.500 right now, as I was right for both of this Saturday's games, and O-fer on today (last week I split both days).

- Saints over the Vikings in what should be a "barn
burner". They be on the roll right now, the Saints.

- Colts over the Jets, because I think Peyton Manning won't make the same mistakes Rivers did.

I will pick a Colts and Saints SuperBowl based on I don't like Favre and that the Colts are the much better team on paper but if the Colts even try to lay back, the Jets could make their third upset of the playoffs.

The only team I don't want to see in any way shape or form is Indianapolis....so bet on the Colts to beat New Orleans in the Super Bowl.

How is Archie Manning's son beating the beloved hometown side in any way a 'win' for New Orleans?

Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.

Always, always take the team playing with house money, which makes the AFC choice fairly easy- Jets over the Colts.

Dunno about the NFC, lets go Vikings over Saints, which I'm sure will produce a quiet, outside-drama-free, focus on the game Super Bowl, right?

5-3 right now, 3-1 last weekend and 2-2 this weekend. Both my super bowl picks got blown out last night.

I'll jump on the Jets bandwagon. If any team can confuse Peyton, it'll be them. Revis will shut down Wayne and they should consider putting him on Clark, as crazy as that sounds. Jets 17 Colts 13.

The other game seems like an intriguing matchup, but so did Saints/Cardinals. I'm not falling for that trap again. Saints 31, Vikings 13.

Saints vs Jets would be a fairly entertaining game too, I bet.

I used to think so, there's been some awesome upsets in sports these last few years, but after the Sugar Bowl this year and the Cardinals getting bent over yesterday, I'm starting to question ALWAYS going with the team that has a very small chance of winning realistically.

Karma dictates that the Jets beat the Colts. Then Indy can spend its entire offseason thinking about how they could have knocked the Jets out of playoff contention in Week 16. It would serve them right.

Saints beat the Vikings in a close one, decided by a Brett Favre INT. Then it'll be Minnesota's turn to play the "Will Brett Favre Retire For Reals This Time?" game.

We're a little early for another sign of the Sports Apocalypse, but can anyone think of a better one than a Saints/Jets Super Bowl?

Well, going an outstanding 1-7 in my picks, I'm instead going to predict the opposite of what I want to happen. That way, I either salvage some picks or escape the Doucher Bowl between the Vikings/Colts.

I am 6-2 so far on my picks, being unable to guess which Baltimore Ravens team will actually show up to play a game.

In my original picks, I had New Orleans beating the Vikings so I will stick with that.
(My original prediction was "Saints will win because they have the ball last.")

In my original picks, I had the Jets beating the Colts to go to the AFC Championship game, so I will pick the Jets to beat the Colts in the AFC Championship game.
(My original prediction was "Jets score a passing TD, running TD, defensive TD and special teams TD."

New Orleans wins the Super Bowl. (My original pick)

The Vikings front four were ludicrously good against the Cowboys. If they play like that again against the Saints, they win it. If they don't and/or Favre rediscovers his penchant for killing his team with bone-headed INTs, Saints win.

I'll stick with Minnesota seeing as I fancied them to win the NFC for most of the season.

Indy should beat NY, but the Jets' D is for real and people seem awfully quick to overlook the fact that Indy was only up 15-10 when the starters got pulled a few weeks back. The Colts probably would've won, but it's not like the Jets were being blown out.

Indy wins though by getting enough pressure on Sanchez to make him do stupid.

So yeah, Colts v Vikings.

I'm hoping for some vintage NFC Championship Favre and some vintage NFC championship Vikings here, which would be a nice combination of 6 ints and choking when it matters most...Go Saints...

Colts win...handily...Revis is damn good, but he can't cover everyone at the same time.

Regardless, as long as Brett doesn't get to the Super Bowl, I'm gonna be a happy camper.

These really only matter until there is a week or two left in the season, and even then only if there are either more than two or less than two undefeated teams left, or if there are two undefeated teams but one is a non-AQ team.
