Well I predicted Chargers over Cowboys/Packers last week, so I guess my prediction was clarified for me. Which is fine, because the Cowboys look great right now.
Chargers over Jets big Colts over Ravens big Cowboys over Vikings big Arizona over New Orleans in a close game
I haven't seen this many people jump on the Chargers bandwagon since Marty led them to a 14-2 record...and then they went and lost their first playoff game. I have a very bad feeling about this and won't be shocked in the least if history repeats itself and the Chargers roll over.

Same reason I'm picking the Jets.
San Diego makes too big a deal about the playoffs. The town peaks when a team makes it. It adversely affects players. SD will not advance, even though I want them to.

If the New York Jets beat the San Diego Chargers, I will eat my computer, then throw it up and eat it again. It's not happening. Not this year.
Wow, four C teams for the conference championships....hey wait...
Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.
I'm not sold on the Ravens, but I like to take one underdog and I don't really see the Cowboys as that even if they are the lower seed.

True that.
I'm afraid I entered Anyone But Favre mode some time around week 13 of his third go round on the will I/won't I retire thing though. Quite an achievement for someone to enter "more disliked than the Dallas Cowboys" territory with me, so kudos to him for that, I guess.
I am most confident in the Vikings and least confident in the Jets.
Really, I wouldn't be surprised with any result (except the Colts blowing out the Ravens.. I hope this doesn't happen) so it should be a fun weekend of football.
I don't care as long as the Bolts and Colts win, so next week we get Manning/Rivers in the AFC. No matter how the NFC games turn out this weekend, we're going to have Romo or Favre vs. Warner or Brees next week - faaaaantastic.
Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

Well I want 3/4 last week and further predicted that the Vikings and Saints would win this week so I will stick with that.
The Jets will beat the Chargers because Rex Ryan >>> Norv Turner
The Ravens will beat the Colts because one of the number one seeds is bowing out and it is not the Saints. Plus the Colts deserve to lose for laying down like punks to the Jets.
(I guess I am further predicting that the Jets will play the Saints in the Super Bowl and the Saints will win.

- It may not be as hig scoring as last week's Cards/Packers game, but it will be an very offensive game. Niether team has any real D to speak of, but the Cards have a little more experience in the playoffs now than the Saints. That and the fact that NO hasn't won in almost a month now despite being the #1 seed leads me to believe that they will come out flat in the start of the game. Both teams will score and score often, but even without Boldin, Arizona will come out on top to go to the NCF championship for the second year in a row.
Colts def. Ravens 27-24
- The game of the week, IMO. I think these two are far more evenly matched than some may realized. In the end, it simply comes down to Peyton. He's what makes the Colts, period. And though I like Joe Flacco, his hip injury and Manning's greatness will be too much to overcome. The Colts go to the AFC championship and, unlike the Saints, won't have their ending to the season affect them negatively. At least not in this game.
Cowboys def. Vikings 30-17
Dallas just seem to have momentum going on their side. The Vikes, meanwhile, have AP struggling the last half of the season and a team that only came into their bye on a upside because they demolished a Giant team that totally quit. Farve has proven he still has something left in his arm, but he's up and down in the playoffs. I feel he'll struggle against the Dallas D, which has been really tough to deal with as of late. Romo will have a incredible performance to finally get rid of that late season bad rep of his to give the Cowboys a home game in the NFC championship in that damn dome and a new contract extension for Wade Phillips. But at least Brat Farve will be off the TV until he inevitably bitches about retirement and ESPN goes 24/7 on it... again.
Chargers def. Jets 34-24
The Jets showed that they deserved some respect by defeating the Bengals last week. Actually, I think the truth is that Cincy finally got exposed and that if anyone 'stoled' a playoff spot, it was the Bengals. Now watch as they go back to their usual 6-10 record next season and 6 to 10 arrests and SOMEHOW Marvin Lewis still gets to keep his job. Seriously, that asswipe should had been out of a job a long time ago, but I keep hearing excuse after excuse about how he does a good job with a bunch of underperforming loudmouths when they still don't have a playoff victory during his time as coach. At least Norv and Wade and most everyone else has a playoff win under their belt and consisent seasons over .500, why do they get heat for their jobs and not Marv?
Ok, rant over. Like I said, the Jets are not to be overlooked now. But that said, the Chargers are too hot and have too many weapons (LT, Sproles, Rivers, Jackson, Gates, etc.) for NY to overcome. It will be a good game, closer than some might had thought, yet SD will make it a offensive game and that will be enough to give them the victory on Sunday.
