I haven't seen a bread machine since the mid-90s, but I remember my mom often making dough in it but not cooking it. She'd roll it out to 1/2 inch diameter and let us make pretzels in all kinds of wacky shapes. Just brush it with egg, add salt or other seasoning, and pop the tray in the oven.
I'd imagine there are still plenty of bread loaf recipes all over the internet. Too bad just Geocities closed though.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
Just like with the bread, I do home brewing a more professional way. Last x-mas, I got a Mr. Beer kit from my brother. Now I brew all my beer, hard cider, mead, and wine in 7 gallon whiskey barrels (hard cider) and 6.5 to 3 gallon glass carboys.

Thanks for the link. I will have to check it out. I like the help the W's give here. Plenty of good suggestions over the past few years.
I got one a couple of years ago and it's nice to be able to just put in the ingredients and set it to finish first thing in the morning. Thus far I've only made the recipes it came with, so I'd be interested in whatever you all have as well.
At the risk of hijacking this thread, we're looking to replace our old breadmaker. Any recommendations before we make a mistake? I was reading a review on Amazon for the Breadmaker TR520 or TR875. Any comments about those two in particular?

I have the TR875 and it's been great. Easy to use, love the delay timer, quick cleanup(though the mixer can stick sometimes and take a bit of force to remove it). But I've never had another bread maker so I can't really compare.

I don't think there's much difference between types of bread makers. Just make sure you can make pizza dough, and it can make a large enough loaf (or smaller ones) for your need.
I'd also make sure that you have a place to store the thing when you're not using it. Ours is slightly awkward to store.

I went with this one. We'll see how it turns out after Christmas as it is a gift for my wife.
