I was thinking that Mark can't be so dumb as to think that only one person would have a tattoo like that. Especially given Aaron's concerns earlier about running afoul of a paramilitary group. Because paramilitary groups would never use something like a tattoo of stars as a sign of membership... But there he is all relieved that he changed the future. My only surprise was that they didn't let us ponder that for a week before the reveal. The pace on this show continues to be slightly quicker than I'd expect. I wouldn't be surprised if within the next two episodes we get confirmation that the men with star tattoos are all Jericho.
Poor Aaron clinging to the conviction that his FlashForward means he's safe through 4/29. I can only imagine he's been too distracted to read the paper since Tracy's return. (That headline was funny.)
Loved the dialing down of the Olivia-Mark angst. But I get the sense we're still headed in that direction.
Why does Dominick Monaghan keep picking the most annoying characters to play? I will give him credit because Simon is a such a talkative pompous douchebag that I hate him in completely different ways than I did whiny Charlie. To be fair to Charlie, I only mildly disliked him. But I cringe whenever Simon walks onto the screen. I still want to know more about what's up with him and Lloyd.
LOVED Lloyd using sleight of hand to win at the poker game. I'll credit Simon's arrogance on the final hand to Lloyd knowing exactly how to goad him.
There was no awkward musical gunfight this week so I'll just say I'm surprised they pulled something off Backspacer. Pearl Jam seems to be quite adept at marketing now that they're out from under their old label.
You believe me, don't you? Please believe what I just said...
Just watched this. Good episode and I also laughed at how stupid he was to think he changed the future because he killed one man with star tattoos. How clueless can he be?
So Jericho and QED are gonna be connected somehow, and who was the guy at the end?

I think Simon is the most interesting character on the whole show! I love manipulative geniuses -- sociopathy optional. (There's too easy a joke here about "that's why I hang out on this board", which we'll move right on by as too obvious. ;-) ) Sounds to me like Dominic's portrayal is getting good heel heat from you!
My current theory on the whole writing issue of "ask a question /answer that question" is that one of the objections to Lost was that there were too many lingering questions. So they lob it up & smash it down, like the cop shows generally do. Set up a crime (mystery/question), then answer it by the end of the show. They're just adding in the mandatory cliffhanger, which gets addressed at the beginning of the next episode.
I thought we were being lead to believe all along that the guys Mark saw coming for him all had the tattoo. He seriously thought it was just one dude in the entire world? I enjoyed the episode, but that reveal at the end was the weakest thing so far this season for me. I liked the "now we're all sons of bitches" ending though, so that made up for it a bit.
So, are we thinking there's any chance Agent Noh could be the mole? We only have his word that he didn't have a flashforward, and faking his death wouldn't be beyond the capabilities of Jericho (or whoever's behind all this).
I'm with Emma on the Simon love. I didn't like Lloyd at first, but he and Simon are now two of the best things about the show for me. The card game was very nicely done indeed.

I think his daughter being alive trumps everything else for him right now. I'm much less sure than I was that he sent Olivia the text about Mark drinking now. Which brings me back to thinking Noh might not be such a good egg.
I'm also not willing to rule out Al returning *somehow* just yet, but I'm truly dreadful at trying to predict these kind of shows.
You're right about The Hobbit, spf. I mean, Bilbo gets the One Ring (the only part relevant to the LoTR story) like halfway through. The rest is stuff that isn't really important to the overarching story told in LoTR.
