Heat was very fun. Why was it on so late at night? I wouldn't have seen it if it weren't for my laziness preventing me from going to sleep. Tommy D rules!! I like how Stasiak was kicking his butt, but somehow he pulled a win last second by just doing his finisher. And the beer mist was durn cool.
Who told Steven Richards that it was okay to go totally eighties?? But richards was really cool, and he kept on feeling on Golddust, even his bottom, so I can't have any beouf with that!
D-Lo looked pretty cool in the ring, and he was quite alright on the mic, too. Man, he must be laughing at the Godfather now, hunh? Look who's getting the bigger push now!
Raven is pretty big! And he's got pretty big legs, esp when he skirt was all pushed up. I like how Geoffrey wins each match, even though he gets DQ'd. Now, that's EXTREME. He is the coolest. I love his Brutus the Barber Beefcake-like arm wrappings. Jeff's backwards spin kick was a totally awesome move. I was expecting the UT to go out and attack him, but I guess he doesn't chill on Heat.
But that's what made Heat so cool. There were none of those pain-in-da-azz superstars who stink up tha stage. They are so boring! Except Chris Jericho. He's funny. All the people on Heat have very little egos, cuz they are still on Heat. So, it was quite fresh and fun to watch. Matches were even longer than 45 seconds! Of course, I watched other stuff during the promo recaps, cuz I had seen those before, and man, they were boring enough the first time.
I like how D-Lo and Coach said they thought their top picks to win KOTR were Brock and RVD, since those are the top two picks almost everyone is shooting for. And D-Lo had the audacity to call Brock a dark horse.. an outside chance! Ha!
alright, nighty 'night.

Yeah, I liked the Dreamer/Stasiak match. The beer spit spot is something that actually, you know, WORKS with his character: he'll think nothing of drinking someone else's beer, then spitting it at his opponent, who's blinded long enough to get one quick shot in and get the advantage.
And as for Stevie's match, nice to see the half-shirt come back. What'd it say, though? Only made out what was on top of the shirt, but I forgot what it was (something like "I Miss You"?)
D-Lo on the stick and in the ring? Works for me.
And as for Jeff's new angle, it could work for his new direction to have him lose all his matches, but by DQ after moidalizing his foe.
That said, could Coach and D-Lo be the new permanent commentators? Works for me... now swap them with the tres crappy SD team, and I'm happy. Maybe I can watch a show without having to mute it.
Stevie's T-shirt read "I MISS YOU SWEET THANG" with a picture of Jazz. Nice bit of continuity, actually...
D'lo in the ring would have worked better if they hadn't already run a bit where Raven got called out and left the announce table to kick ass in the ring not long ago. D'lo seemed a little more comfortable tonight, and that bit where Coach had to ask him if he was trying to do play-by-play was classic.
Speaking of Raven, so much for the speculation that Jeff's attitude change might have come from having fallen under Raven's spell. Good, because the last thing we need is another retread of the Flock angle.
The only problem with D'Lo commentating is he won't be wrestling every week. Unlss of course he starts wrestling on RAW, but, you know...
Mean Gene: "You know, I don't think it's a question - Goldberg, I don't think it's a question of who's next, I think it's a question of who's left?" Goldberg: "No, see, that's where you're wrong. It ain't who's left, it's - WHO'S NEXT?"

I would go out on a short limb here and say D'Lo has still got "it" and then some. He always was the man before, they just need to give him the ball to run with now. Of course none of us should be holding our breath waiting for that to happen, me thinks.
I'm STILL waiting for them to pull the trigger on the inevitable D'lo/Regal European title feud -- Regal's calling himself "the greatest European Champion of all time" months ago was a natural setup.

Didn't they have a blowoff match Regal won or am I having an alcohol-enchanced flashback that didn't happen?
And personally, I like D'Lo in the announce chair, but Mike Sanders or DDP would be better, as they aren't actively wrestling, and D'Lo could get in the ring more.

Ah, man, if we're going to be filling the commentator's chair with whomever we choose, please let it be Booker T's brother and former tag team partner, Stevie Ray! He was so cool, by far my favorite color commentator. He spoke like a real person, unlike JR and Cole, who often speak like robots, or King and Paul E Dangerously, who both squeeled like babies. I like the aforementioned announcers in general, mind you, but I think that Stevie Ray would make me more excited to listen during the match. Also, DDP would be a great announcer, or even a manager, if male managers still exist, besides Pauly H.
Seeing as I'm immobile with a sprained left knee and can't walk, I decided it would be a good time to actually watch this Dynamite Kid DVD I've had for months. I also decided to do a recap/review of the DVD for no particular reason.
