I'll be set up this weekend at the big comic show in Charlotte (Whoo), North Carolina this weekend.
All weiners (well, 99% of you) are welcome to come by and say hello (and hopefully buy something).
You can find out more info on the con, like guests and what not, at www.heroesonline.com.
Banded together from remote galaxies are 13 of the most sinister villains of all-time: The Legion of Doom. Dedicated to a single objective: the conquest of the universe.
last time i went to hero con (1997? 1998?) the fire marshals almost shut down the con 2 days early because the line for the Top Cow guys was a fire hazard and they moved the line around like 10 times in different directions....
i've been out of comics for 2 years (25,000+ books) and they only person i'd like to meet again is Collen Doran. Every con we're at, we always trade glances, even the Small press expo...plus she sold me her "let's learn japanese" books dirt cheap. we were becoming quite the friends, but now i bet she forgotten about me
there's always carla speed mcneil though my girl at the time and i would send her bootlegs of "Key the metal idol" to listen to while she inked her book. she lived in annapolis, md, so that's just down the road from me...
ok, i'm rambling, time to go ^_^

There are people that I've seen, both talent and fans, at SPX for like 5 years in a row, but never talk to.
We've had Carla at our small press show in Delaware for a bunch of years and I was happy to see here nominated for all those Eisners this year.

Yeah. We did the make-up show in Baltimore, but it wasn't quite the same.
I'm hoping this will be an okay show, as I've never done it before.

I've never been to that particular con. Not even sure how far of a drive Charlotte is from the 'Ville.
I've made Mid-Ohio con every year since '96 and love it every year. I used to make Dragon Con back in the mid-90's when a friend of mine live in Alabama, but it's waaaayyy to expensive to go now.
Have fun tho, it never sucks to be able to root thru some new boxes for buried treasure!!!!
Well, I had a lovely 6 or so hr drive from Va Beach tonight. God Bless XM Radio, as I got to listen to ESPN radio the whole way here. Oh, and on the wacky Channel X, I heard the Cardigans cover Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
I saw the programming today on the web site and it's like a pared-down SD. Dont know how much I'll see, unless I start floating away from the table, as I am want to do.

I would LOVE to have XM radio, and I would also love to have a DSL or cable connection, but Hasbro keeps coming out with all this cool Star Wars stuff, and I can't seem to cut back the number of comics I collect, and my wife and I just bought a house this week, etc. etc. etc.
Hope you're having a good time at the show. I need to check newsarama and see if any news is being made there this weekend.
It was an okay show. Didn't see a lot, but did some schmoozing.
I didn't hear any news (at least for public consumption). I know one of the Newsarama guys was there, but didn't talk to him.
