Even FoxNews has been staying away from his comments as of lately. Now advertisers are pulling the plug on Beck. I thought by now he would have retracted the comments he said about Obama. I believe he should and chill out without calling the Prez. names even if you don't like him. Thoughts? Does anybody like this guy?
What bothers me about him is not his difference of opinion, but that he's clearly trying to scare people into following him(as he implores them to do at the start of his show).
He's taking things way out of context, blowing little things up into bigger picture made up crap and telling everyone we're going to lose our country.
It's insane to watch and makes me want to throw stuff at my TV, but I watch it anyway because minutes after it ends you'll find all his fans parroting what he said on message boards all over the web. It's nice to at least know what the days talking points will be.
He's a conspiracy theorist with lots of fans. And he's making them more and more angry each day. Scary stuff.
Meh. He's a little melodramatic for my tastes, but he's harmless if you know when he's on target and when he's off his rocker. (Admittedly, the latter is starting to occur more than the former)
But that d-bag Olbermann built his entire MSNBC career demonizing Bush and everyone thought it was okie-dokie, so I could care less about the insult to Obama.
I'd also probably feign a little more interest if the organization behind the boycott wasn't founded by Obama's new Green Czar.

Yes, Beck claiming Obama "has a deep-seated hatred for white people" is exactly the same as Olbermann calling Bush a war criminal. Exactly the same.

This I second. I've never seen an episode of Beck's show, so I can't really comment on his personality, but when an attempt to turn a commentator into "a toxic asset" appears to be so blatantly political, it's hard for me to get interested in it. Otherwise, this kind of community backlash for People on TV Saying Stupid Shit would be promising.
The man annoys me to no end, and I'd threaten to kill the program director that put his radio show on the air in Southern Illinois but suicide really isn't an option at this point. *sigh*

Actually, now that you mention it, I think a war criminal is several stages worse than a racist. That's putting a guy on the level of Adolph Hitler, Pol Pot, and Slobodan Milosevic.

Same level? No. Same category? Yeah. Olbermann hasn't equated Bush with the crimes of the aforementioned trio, at least that I've seen, but said that he committed or authorized illegal acts in a war, ergo, war criminal. Certainly not on par with millions of dead citizens, though. Kind of like the difference between criminally negligent homicide and capital murder.
Beck is insane, and the people who take his word at face value would probably find some other demagogue to latch onto were he to vanish off the face of the earth tomorrow.
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I don't care about/pay attention to Glenn Beck, so I didn't know about this little blow up (YouTube). I wish I knew more about him so I could decide whether he temporarily went insane or if that's just the (very, very annoying) character he plays.

The trouble is that I doubt if he knows the difference anymore.
People like Beck and others aren't the problem. It's people who can't think critically that are.

In the initial Iraq invasion, Poland contributed about 54 men. They are easy to forget. To be fair though, after the invasion they put 2,500 men in there and took over security in one of the souther area.
