He's someone who put out a very good solo album. The vocals, though, are pretty much the only thing that sounds like Interpol, although musically, there's shades of Poker Face his current band.

I genuinely appreciate all insight about releases for which I am totally unfamiliar and can't offer an opinion - thanks!!
(It's a bit like how I keep meaning to point out some of the $5 releases in post #1 that are totally worth $5... but never get around to it... but that doesn't mean YOU can't!)
ONE MORE DEAL If you preorder Imogen Heap's Ellipse on CD, you can get a free credit for the MP3 version which will you'll be able to download starting Monday (physical album out Tuesday): Standard Version $9.99 Deluxe Version $13.99 (adds 2nd disc of instrumentals and special packaging)
Of course, if you don't need a CD, you might want to wait until Monday and see if maybe it becomes the daily deal then...
Anybody have a clue if you can buy mp3s at Amazon and not bother to download them and still get charged? I'd gladly pay $5 for this album, but I don't want to download it, seeing as how I already did, plus I'm on dialup (country living has it's drawbacks) so it would take a week to download the whole thing.
If not, I suppose I can just download it while leeching a friend's broadband, just figured I'd ask to see if anyone had heard about anyone getting charged for something they didn't/couldn't download. (Granted, I'm probably the only person who would look at doing so as a good thing.)
