A VFW Hall is sort of the equivilant of a "bingo hall" or a smaller building where indie matches (or autograph signings) might be held, here in the States.

And they sell cheap beer there!!!!!!!!

No, the VFW usually has a small hall where they do bingo or have little events. For example, the autograph signing in the Wrestler could have taken place in a VFW hall. So the joke is Flair is hanging out at the VFW because he's so washed up no other place would have him.

Although I guess it could also be an insult for ROH, too. Hey, two for the price of one!

Edit: Oops, Spiraling Shape's answer totally wasn't there when I hit reply.

Unless the Miznight Rider appears, can the Internet get roiled up over Miz being 'punished' because he made someone's wife/sister/daughter(and when you throw in Linda possibly lover's) writing team look bad with his Twitter feud vs. Jericho?

Am I the only one who immediately wondered if we'd be getting a "The Miz has been suspended 30 days" article on WWE.com today?

Business-wise, ALL the upper talent should be twittering. In kayfabe at the very least. How do you not take advantage of free promotion?

Did I miss something or did it sound like Hunter was talking to someone other than Michaels. I don't remember Sean saying he wasn't coming back. I also didn't get the "you never do jobs" reference. It seemed like he was talking to someone who was actively wrestling somewhere else. I mean it HAS to be DX, but is there a possible swerve amiss?

I LOVE the Jeri-Show. Big Show seems a lot deadlier and serious now. His look has almost evolved him as well. It's like he's taking himself serious for the first time. The suits, the stick-work, the value he and Jericho are bring the unified belts is fantastic. They have even given Cryme Tyme a little rub along the way. As long as they improve the mash-up and add a "Over 40 Championships combined" graphic to their intro video, I would love to see them hold the straps for a LONG time.

Thank god we still have ECW and Smackdown.

He was being smarky. He's implying that Shawn (not Sean) doesn't "job."

I too am in the Jeri-Show camp. I loved how in the last few weeks (except the Cena-Show mini-feud) that they've made Show more serious. Tossing people around and just dominating. Same thing with Mark Henry. The less he goes out on dinners with female bodybuilders during the show and feels up TV/TS/TGs, the happier I am.

Well, the person he was talking to:
- has said that they don't do jobs
- doesn't watch Raw
- has said repeatedly that they were never coming back to WWE
- was a member of DX and had Triple H's back in the past
- hung up on Triple H

There's nothing there that doesn't fit Chyna. As for what she "has been doing forever" and "doesn't have to do anymore," well, I'll leave that up to your filthy imaginations.

I understood the smarkiness...but maybe I just misheard what he was referencing. I could have sworn he said something like "What are you doing?" - Shawn says something - "I thought you said you don't do jobs".

Meh, I guess in retrospect he could have said he was mowing the lawn and HHH could have answered the same.

Thanks.

Ehhh. The "doesn't watch Raw" came as a surprise to HHH, though. And the "never coming back" was more of the "come on, you ALWAYS say that." Which means, well, the person has had multiple comebacks where he's said he isn't coming back and yet still does.

My interpretation was that they were trying to show that this time might be "different" for Shawn and he might have "really" retired, and make his comeback a much bigger deal.

All but one of those does fit Bret Hart.

- He didn't want to job in Montreal
- I'm sure he doesn't watch Raw (or didn't alot in the past decade)
- Has said repeatedly that he was never coming back to WWE (to wrestle at least. I didn't think I'd see him accept the HoF)
- Was DX's biggest foil.
- I'm sure he'd hang up on Trip

Shawn coming back in Calgary? He'd be booed out of the building, yes?

That would be fun. I'm hoping for some fun. Actually, I'm just hoping the show doesn't flat-out blow. At least I have tickets to Smackdown in Edmonton too.

To clarify, I don't think it will be revealed that Chyna was on the phone with Triple H. I assume it was Shawn. But I did notice that Shawn was never mentioned by name and they did seem to leave the door open for it to be someone else.

Or the "you don't do jobs" was referring to his last in-ring match, where he "jobbed" to The Undertaker.

Can't say I am familiar with Jeremy Piven and it doesn't make me want to view his back, present or future catalogue after the worst guest hosting so far.

'Summerfest' was an early indication he seemed not to know the WWE product.

Big Show vs Shaq O'Neal. Yes, now were those voting for who they think would win once WWE had storylined it or they thought who could really win ? - I suspect the former.

Show and Jericho's remix theme does not work very well.

Sgt Slaughter in Canada - I guess he won't have any US flags with him. Canadian celebs evidently in short supply !

Godspeed, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Infantry, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, Wisconsin Army National Guard! Victory in Iraq!

(EDIT: Boo to you, Super Shane Spear, for posting a video from my direct competitor.) :-)

No love for the old-school Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that Piven came out in (and hid Dr. Ken in the trunk of?)

Also, I *heart* the Public Enemy entrance. Vince, PLEASE pay your ASCAP/BMI fees, so we can get more of this.

(EDIT: Don't think the HurriTweet got deleted, CRZ. If this is the one you mean.)

Should have kept him in the trunk.

Michael Cole: "GIVING THE GOODS TO THE ENTOURAGE!"
CRZ: "AND DR. KEN'S HEAD MUST SURELY BE ELLEN!"
Kim: "???"
CRZ: "'cause remember when Piven played Ellen's cousin on Ellen..."
Kim: "???"
CRZ: "It's a pun?"
Kim: "Nah."

Clearly, Triple H was in fact talking to MR. HUGHES.

Did Hurricane's tweet and Twitpic get deleted? I wanted to see them, but maybe the kayfabe police got to him. EDIT: Oh, wait. Was this it? http://twitpic.com/cnjsc

Everyone who mentioned Bret Hart needs to be slapped back into reality.

Did you hear that crowd explode for the Carlito/Primo match? THAT'S how you set up a feud! Boy, howdy! Wait, let me slap MYSELF back into reality...

That is all.
