Golly, that Mexico/Costa Rica game was a pistol. I hope everybody found Univision on their TVs before it was over!

Finals are Sunday afternoon (15:00 EDT) at Giants Stadium - USA vs. MEX

Expect riots either way! (Maybe!)

I'm really excited about the game because US-Mexico games are always good. But, I am worried that something might happen. The Concacaf security seems to be very clueless. There have been problems in two games already, and both the referee crews and the event security have handled the problems really poorly. Also, I went to the games at Cowboys Stadium and was surprised at the lax security and the lack of a meaningful security presence.

I hope I don't come across as some sort of scaremonger. But, the combination of very heated rivalry, poor security and the degree of intermingling between the teams' fans concerns me.

There were problems at the quarterfinal doubleheader in Philadelphia as well, during the US/Panama match. Two fights happened in the 2nd half, and a smoke bomb was released. Agreed on the security issues, wholeheartedly.

See, if CONCACAF is smart, they still have a HUGE hammer at their disposal, namely, these two teams are slated to meet at Azteca in Mexico City in August in a World Cup qualifier. This version of the Gold Cup, in the grand scheme of things, means just about nothing, there's no Confederations Cup trip for the winner, nothing major really, and the American team, especially, is a B or even C squad. If there are any issues, there's still a lot that CONCACAF can do as it relates to the next meeting, which will have a lot more on the line.

Well, that was an ass-kicking

Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.

Very insightful.

By the way, I have no idea who won, so I'll assume it was...?

That list of demands by IOC members is hilariously absurd. Good for cities for finally realizing that the Olympics are a scam.
