I'm seeing some odd table breakage on both the front page and the forum thread list pages. Sometimes it's the "Current Events & Politics" and "Internet & Computers" forums in the same row, sometimes it's the "I & C" and "Print". The "Pro Wrestling Forum" and the header row for the "Other" section are doing the same thing.
In the forum threads view, the 10th and 11th threads are in the same row with no divider. Same thing again 10 threads later.
I swear it was happening earlier with both Firefox 3.0.11 and 3.5 under Windows, but now I can't recreate it. Under Mac (Tiger), Firefox 3.0.11 and 3.5 are fine as is Safari 4.0. I haven't tried IE8 yet. Linux Firefox 3.0.11 is definitely affected.
I've cleaned my cache and restarted my browser multiple times to no avail. I use the "Greens" theme, but when I log out the same thing is happening.
Any chance there's been some changes in the last 12-24 hours?
Nothing to my knowledge. I'm using Firefox 3.5 on the PC here at work and haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. Take a screen shot the next time it happens.
Just upgraded to Firefox 3.5 on Linux and it's still happening. Screen shots of the front page and the Movies forum sent to the email address in your profile (sorry about the size there).
I'm not seeing anything wrong...your screen caps look totally fine to me. Everything's where it's supposed to be and everything's got lines around it where you'd expect to see them.
Are you using the same monitor when you're seeing the problem? Could you be doing some crazy zooming in or out that might be affecting the way it looks on your screen?
Interesting. I used the Pearl Crescent PageSaver add-on to do those "screenshots" and selected "Save Image of Entire Page".
I ran upstairs to do a standard screenshot and discovered you were correct: I was one level of font size (control + mousewheel) lower than I should have been. Interesting that that appears to break table rendering, but whatever.
Thanks and sorry to bug.
EDIT: control + mousewheel (or control + dash), not click + mousewheel. Just confirmed it happens in Windows too.
Yeah I don't have that set up correctly to not break when you change the font size. This is an annoying, known issue that I will probably not fix until it breaks on the default look.
I just noticed that the board's time doesn't match the server time. I am guessing there's some piece we forgot to patch. I'll either figure it out or wait three weeks, whichever comes first.
EDIT: Oh! All I had to do was stop and restart Apache.
