If Edge turns face to face Jericho for the summer then it will be awesome. I don't know what you would do with Rey maybe move him against Punk or move down to face Shelton. I really do love Tommy getting the belt, I just hope I get to see him with it this weekend at a house show. I picked a good time to get tickets for Smackdown since the fallout from this will be huge.

If Batista is hurt, Orton kicks his head out of the arena and we see Orton/MVP till HHH comes back and crushes both their pushes. Cena will have the Miz for a few more weeks and then I doubt know. Cena needs a heel turn or a trip back to Smackdown, besides Orton and Miz there is nothing left for him to do on the show, hell even the company at this point.

I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be hearing TOMMY DREAMER, ECW CHAMP.

Whats the story with HHH? Did I miss an injury, or is he doing Daddy Day Care Duty?

Batista? Blah, who cares at this point, he's as injury prone, if not more than Kennedy was, I guess his blown Batista Bombs aren't as dangerous as a blown Suplex or back body drop.

Nows the time to pull the trigger on a nice MVP title run.

I didn't even know the ECW title was on the card.

SmackDown is such a solid weekly show now that they didn't need to change two if its titles to peak interest. But they did and did so in fun manners.

Most important, MITB is OVER until next year, and that's good.

Punk is solidly established as a main-eventer now, with two roster championships coming from MITB victories. Didn't hurt he beat Umaga twice within three days. I admit I thought they ruined the appeal of their strap match with Punk's clean win (via GTS!) on Friday.

Jericho has the mask and the IC belt, and I can't wait to see where their angle goes now.

Overall, I thought the PPV was alright. The US title match was good for the length it was. If it went longer, then the match would have been excellent. I am not surprised to see Kofi keep the title. If Kofi wouldn't have won, my guess is that William Regal would have been the most legitimate choice to be the new champion.

The Cena/ Show match was absolutely bad. I would consider any match between Cena and Show "the cure for insominia".

The ladder match between Jeff and Edge was solid. I was quite surprised to see Jeff Hardy actually win the title but it was short-lived when Punk came out to use 2 GTS' to get the W. My guess is that this should be a more legitimate title reign for Punk though I would have to agree with my friend that he should have eventually won the title more cleanly (aka when RVD told ahead of time when he would be cashing his MITB). Then again, some people are predicting CM Punk to turn heel, which I have heard before he came to the WWE, he was a solid heel. I guess I will have to look up vids on his matches when he was heel.

Overall, not exactly a terrible PPV but disappointing in some parts such as how short the Orton/ Batista match was. Out of 5 stars, I would give the PPV 2.5.

I would like them to make it a contract for a set date, like the Royal Rumble winner getting a title shot at WrestleMania. Summerslam is the obvious choice, though that seems like a long time between the MitB match and title match. But if guys like CM Punk, Edge (at the point in his career that he won it), etc, are going to keep winning, perhaps the extra time to build it would be a good thing.

I just know I'm already tired of the "Surprise~!" MitB winner cashes in after the champ just finished a match booking. When Edge did it, it was cool. I don't like it now.

I don't mind the surprise element, but at some point, I think they need to pull the trigger, and have someone cash-in and *lose*. You could even do it as a surprise match, though all the stars would have to be in alignment:

-Face MitB winner, ready to move up into feud with heel champion.
-Heel champion wins, maybe even cleanly in tough match with different face.
-MitB winner thinks this is the time, comes out, cashes in, and then the heel wins, maybe not so clean this time, and you have a new feud going on, and the MitB winner may still get the belt down the line.

The finish to Rey/Jericho really needs more love. GREAT storytelling, and just a simply amazing display of masterful timing. The amount of force he used in that roll-up was the icing on the cake.

It is really difficult for me to care about titles changing hands the way the belts randomly fly from person to person now. The three world titles switched hands a total of four times. Batista and Jeff both captured a new world title tonight, putting them on the short list of men that have captured both the WHT and WWE title. However, neither of these moments felt truly epic.

Batista is becoming the king of random title wins. First against Jericho last year and now seemingly against Orton. If Orton does not get the belt back tonight or soon, I don't have any idea why they put it on him in the first place.

The booking this year has just been bizarre. Edge took the belt from Cena just to lose it back to him, just to win it back from him to finally blow off their feud, WHILE they were on separate shows. Then, he loses the belt to his first real challenger. Orton gets a mega push at the rumble only to blow it at mania but then win the belt and injure the champion a month later only to lose the belt to his first challenger.

The wrestling from Smackdown is good at least, but the horrible commentary devoid of any sort of emotion that beats me over the head with very elementary story lines and cliches is really getting on my nerves.

RE: Money in the Bank suggestions:

I'd actually like to see a face cash in against another face after a tough match, and then while going for a quick finisher, lose to an inside cradle. After the match, have the MITB loser SNAP and just OBLITERATE the champion with a chair ala Austin/HHH and the Hardys/lita. I think that would be a fun heel turn. Since the belts change with no reason at all now, I think it would be alright to use the MITB to further a character progression rather than just provide us with another "shocking" title win.

I also hate how people's finishers become less effective as a heel. Punk needs 1 GTS (face) to beat Edge after a minor beat down, but 2 (heel turn) to beat Hardy after a long ladder match. Edge needed multiple spears to put down Cena when he first cashed in. I don't know if the heel is made weaker or if the WWE is obsessed with giving the faces a last kickout when they are being robbed of a title.

Did anyone else notice that the name plate on the WWE title was removed before the match. As soon as Randy held it up I knew he was loosing. They didn't even wait til after the match to pop Orton off it. When Batista is leaving the cage it is more clearly shown. I need to find a picture of it.

The babyfaces are really tough and are desperately trying to save their title. But Edge was destroyed by Batista for like 10 straight minutes, I think that was pretty major.

I don't mind this Money in the Bank rerun because it's a new twist on it, using it to do a major heel turn.

Yeeeep. So they're building to title vs. mask (and we'll ignore that the IC title is in no way worth risking your mask for for the sake of their great angle), but if that's one of the big SummerSlam matches, I wonder if they have another two matches in the feud before they get there.

1. I was meaning in this current ECW.
2. Thanks, I forgot about him getting punted.
3. Yes, if Batista is out, give it to MVP and let him run with it and see what he can do. He's been impressive on RAW, and a big part of all the tag matches they've thrown him into. He's proven he can handle the mic, can handle a challenging match, and seems to have plenty of fan support.

And another interesting twist on a feud between a newly-heel CM Punk and babyface Jeff Hardy: Hardy was on the verge of burning out a couple years ago, and Punk, as you know, is drug-free, alcohol-free, and "better than you". Reminds me of Kurt Angle's ostensible reasons for feuding with Eddie Guerrero leading into WrestleMania 20: "Eddie Guerrero is a former drug addict!"

Yea, but how many people saw White wrestle under his real name and without any mask????? He certainly was raw in that match and his microphone skills needed real work. It took the Japanese to realize the full potential of Vader.
