NEW SHOWS
The Deep End - The story of four young lawyers brought in to one of LA's most prestigious law firms. "The only way ... to survive is to support each other, even as they compete against each other..." 20th Century Fox Television.
Eastwick - Remake of "The Witches of Eastwick". I mentioned this a few weeks ago Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jamie Ray Newman as the titular witches. Sara Rue, who I greatly enjoyed in her run on "The Big Bang Theory" is also involved. Warner Bros. Television.
Flash Forward - During a mysterious blackout, every person in the world gets a glimpse of their near future. ABC Studios.
The Forgotten - From Jerry Bruckheimer. A team of amateurs work on cases involving unidentified victims. Warner Bros. Television.
Happy Town - a small town suffers a series of crimes after undergoing 7 years of peace. ABC Studios.
V - Re-imagining of the 80's miniseries. First encounter with an alien race, but is their agenda really peaceful? Warner Bros. Television.
Cougar Town - I mentioned this as well. Had a feeling it would get picked up. Courtney Cox is a recently divorced single mother who has to get back into the dating game. ABC Studios.
Hank - Should have known this one would make it too. Kelsey Grammer is Hank, a titan of industry who loses his job and his money, and suddenly has to spend time with the family that he had ignored. Warner Bros. Television.
The Middle - Patricia Heaton is the patriarch of a middle class family in a show "about raising a family and lowering your expectations." Warner Bros. Television.
Modern Family - comedy with a documentary shtick, a la "The Office". In this case, it's about a bunch of families. I recognize Ed O'Neill and Sofia Vergara (amusing called Sofa in the press release) among the actors. 20th Century Fox Television.
Shark Tank - Reality show from Mark Burnett ("Survivor", "The Apprentice") wherein entreprenuers make presentations to five multi-millionares in the hopes of getting them to pony up venture capital money. It looks like the show was originally a Japanese show called "Dragon's Den".

The Middle - Patricia Heaton is the *patriarch* of a middle class family in a show "about raising a family and lowering your expectations." Warner Bros. Television.
I would point this out as a mistake, but, given that it's Patricia Heaton, it's probably not.
As for everything else, other than V and (potentially) Eastwick, no interest for me at all. And the interest in Eastwick largely stems from Sarah Rue/Rebecca Romijn, plus curiosity as to who they could get for the Satan role (if Reaper's canceled, as I suspect it will be, Ray Wise would be available and would -guarantee- my viewership)
(edited by GodEatGod on 19.5.09 1609) "Never piss off a hawk with a blowgun" - Conan O'Brien
I am leary of V since it was my favorite mini-series as a kid and still holds a place in my geek heart. I understand Supergirl from Smallville is going to be on it, so I may watch. I just don't see ABC doing some the real gross out scenes like in the mini-series such as the alien reveal and the alien birth. I also looked at the link and there is no time on when this is going to start, so I think its already in trouble. Other then college football ABC will again be on my ignore list.

I think you might be overthinking it. You already psyched yourself out of V. I loved V as a kid too. Rewatched both miniseries just last summer. I'm totally excited for this. My understanding is that ABC is featuring V as a 13 episode "event", so unless the ratings are so horrible they have no choice but to yank it, V will hopefully complete its 13 week run.
Sci-fi TV fave vets Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl), Morena Baccarin (Inara from Firefly), Joel Gretsch (Tom Baldwin from The 4400) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet from Lost) only sweeten the deal.
Originally posted by odessasteps I hope Elizabeth Mitchell gets the Jane Badler part.
If imdb's listing for the V remake is to be trusted Elizabeth Mitchell is playing Erica Evans, Alan Tudyk is Dale Maddox, and Morena Baccarin is Anna.
Are these people from the book or else where?
Alan Tudyk, Elizabeth Mitchell, and the V concept? I'm on board!
"As you may have read in Robert Parker's Wine Newsletter, 'Donaghy Estates tastes like the urine of Satan, after a hefty portion of asparagus.'" Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock
They better have Diana in this. My first fem fatal crush. If its just 13 episodes then I am ok with it. I don't think you can prolong the story for more then two seasons then it becomes Earth: Final Conflict and no one wants that.
