Stallworth of UT actually changed his mind and wants to come back...The NCAA may or may not let him since he already declared for the draft. But that's still too many from the SEC. I think Reche Caldwell's missing out on a lot of money by not staying and being the feature guy next year.

So many players leaving the SEC shows one thing - that is where all the talent is! The SEC gets no respect and I think that sucks!

There is definitely a ton of talent in the SEC. You ever notice how many no-names come out for the NFL? Because it doesn't matter what they did in college. Josh Heupel throws for thousands of yards, leads his team to the national championship, and gets drafted in what, the 6th round? Meanwhile, you get a Brian Urlacher drafted 9th, goes on to win defensive rookie of the year, and who had heard of him outside of New Mexico until draft week? In basketball, you better put up some unbelievable numbers in college or sadly, in high school to go in the first round. But it's not like that in football.

I wish they would put a ban on coming out until at least after sophomore year. That would eliminate so many problems. I know, some guys can't qualify for college, or some others are afraid they might get hurt and ruin their draft status. But some of these guys need to staty in school and mature. I go to U of Illinois, obviously a Big Ten school. I think T.J. Duckett is ready to come out. But Tellis Redmon? We've played Minnesota every year, and I don't remember him being particualrly great. And Derek Ross and Darnell Sanders from OSU? Who? The only guy I thought was ready from OSU was MIke Doss, and he is staying in school.

Enomis, if you live anywhere near the South, which (from your location), you do, you'd know better than to claim that the SEC gets no respect. From where I stand, the SEC gets too much respect. How can it be if you send half your conference to bowl games you don't get respect? I'd love to see the SEC send less teams and other conferences send more - preferably the mid-major football conferences. Now, short of 55 bowl games, I know that won't happen.

And why is anyone from Kentucky declaring for the draft?

Well actually it was two thirds of the SEC, but I don't have a problem with the SEC having so many teams in bowl games, they are better than the other teams.

As for Kentucky players leaving early, i'm sure that even sucky teams have good players? Right? Maybe?

If Vanderbilt can have 10 or 11 guys in the pros (which they do) there's hope for any "sucky" team! Kentucky has actually had plenty of NFL prospects on offense in the last several years (remember Mummeball? Tim Couch?) ...now what becomes of them once they make an NFL team, now that's a different story...

Are you trying to tell me that you think Vanderbilt is a sucky team?? They did win 2 games this year.

Seriously though, yeah there are some sucky teams with good players, including Vanderbilt, but were any of them good enough to leave early? Did Couch leave early?

It's worse than you think...The two teams we beat this year were division 1-aa Richmond (by 6), and Duke, who hasn't won a football game in two years.

I'm almost positive Couch left early...Jamie Winborn (Vandy linebacker) left last year when he was a junior. That was our first early draft entry in about 6 years...we've never had one in basketball.

Nah, my man, I hardly think that Tim Couch is in the “whatever happened to that guy?” category. He was the starting QB for the Browns again this year, who surprised a lot of people with a 7-9 record. And he finished the year with 3,040 yards passing, 18th in the NFL. So he's not great, but he's not horrible.

I'll admit that his rookie year, he was getting killed out there every night, but I blame a lot of that on what was a pathetic offensive line by Cleveland.

No, no, no...I wasn't dogging Tim Couch. I agree he's been great. It's the guys like James Whalen and Craig Yeast that were honestly really good in college, but haven't been heard much from in the pros (although I think Yeast is returning punts for somebody)

Craig Yeast was great in college, but he was a tiny receiver like 5'7" or something. Guys like that rarely make it in the pros. 2 years on the Bengals probably hurt his chances too.
