I got no horses in this fight anymore (must shave soon), so I'll jump on the Penguins bandwagon and...I would really rather see the Ducks lose than the Red Wings, I guess. (I can root against the Red Wings later. ;-) )
Canucks....I think this one's going seven games, and it could be a classic. Luongo stands on his head to get Vancouver to the semis
Capitals....Another seven-game epic as Varlamov continues his quest to be the Russian version of Ken Dryden. I look forward to his run for Prime Minister in 30 years.
Bruins....Too much for the Cardiac 'Canes to deal with.
Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.
By the time LOST gets done with running another re-cap at 8 p.m., you should be able to tell if the game is going to good or not then decide. As a Pens' fan, I expect the Caps to blow them out, because the Pens can never close out these series at home.

Just PVR Lost and watch the hockey.
OK, I've got to vent:
Looking at the NHL's own schedule page, there is NO national, USA broadcast for Canes-Bruins tomorrow night. If that's true (as of now, that game is only listed for RIS, TSN, Fox Sports Carolina, and NESN- not even a JIP on Versus after Ducks-Wings), then the NHL has a major problem. Maybe I've missed the announcement, but when you have a network all to yourself, and you're running a profile on Patrick Elias, and Doc Emerick, as my TV Guide says that they will be tomorrow night, while a game 7 gets NO coverage, that's unforgivable. I've noticed this a lot this playoffs, and it's not a good sign.
NHL has to do a better job with the schedule, but part of that comes down to what is going on in the arenas during those times as well. The media coverage hasn't been bad, but according to ESPN coughCowheardcough its a dying sport that is why they didn't want it on their network. Yeah, it has nothing to do with Verses outbidding them by a few million dollars. Also, don't pay attention to the ratings of the outside New Years day hockey games that crushed the college football bowl games or the fact that most NHL teams have sell outs almost every night during the regular season. I guess that 1.7 NBA is justification to forget that we have 3 game 7s in 3 days and talk about Clemens and Tyson for the billionth time this week. Man, if the world ever need a good alternative to his sporting news now is the time.
Geez CRZ, I hope you watched the Lost finale over this. What an anti-climactic game.

Carolina - 4:31, Kapanen 1 (power play) (O'Neill, Hedican) NY Islanders - 9:44, Lapointe 2 (unassisted) Well....that certainly makes a lot more sense. Thanks. EDIT:
