We've gotten about a hundred hits on "Ron Artest Best Buy" today (The W) - I'd love to think it's because of today's banner, but I'm more inclined to think somebody broadcast something about it earlier tonight that got people curious. Anybody see any Ron Artest highlights on the telebox?
(I could also be totally wrong and it's just that a couple hours ago Yahoo! brought us up to #1 for that particular search, which has ALWAYS been popular. That seems like an Internet-ty thing to search on for sure...)
((Today's runner-up, by the way, was a quote from Venture Bros. (The W) which ended up on a blog post (jwz.livejournal.com) linked from warrenellis.com earlier this afternoon. Isn't the Internet's ....interconnectedness...fascinating?))
I think it all comes back to the whole "small world" idea, if that makes sense.
Outside of general interest in the Rockets post season...I don't believe there's any extra interest in Ron Artest. I'm also not inclined to search very deep. Here's what I've got.
Story a few days ago about a Vikings draft pick who after getting drafted worked his shift at Target and will get a Target tattoo because of their allowing him to work weird shifts to prepare for the draft. From that came the comparison to Artest a few years back.
Well, he's allegedly a stone-age carving in the hill, but some say that he's actually only pre-Victorian, so a few hundred years old. Although some people do copulate on the Giant's giant manhood as a fertility ritual, apparently.
