I would think I would like seeing Jim's smugness cut down. It's not like the few times Dwight has gotten him though, Charles literally looks like he would beat Jim's ass before he fires him. I really don't like him, for the same reason I do like him. He seems too real in the bizzaro pocket dimension that is Dunder Mifflin Scranton.
The title sequence of "The Michael Scott Paper Company" was the highlight of the season. The time zone clocks just put it over the top.
My favorite conflict on this show is Pam versus Ryan. As ridiculous as this sounds, I'm struck with the strange hunch those two will make out by season's end.

Blasphemer! I did miss me some Vikram, and almost forgot how polar opposite he and Michael are. Honestly, I hadn't really missed Ryan "Shoe Bitch" Howard. Kelly Kapur was gold..."You wanted me?", as was Andy/Dwight. While they were dueling in the breakroom, I noticed Toby in the backround, and was waiting for the camera to zoom in on his "totally defeated Toby" face, but him coming to the window was funny.
One thing that I always like in an episode is when it's grounded in reality. I love everything about Charles Miner. He's the most real character I've seen on the show. He makes me uncomfortable in the way that some bosses have made me feel uncomfortable.
One thing I hate about an episode is when my brain starts thinking about things and realizing how implausible they are. Where's Michael getting his paper from? How much is he paying Ryan and Pam? Wouldn't Dunder Mifflin have a clause in their lease banning competing businesses in the same building? If Miner's such a hard-ass, why would he allow Dwight and Andy to play in the break room? I think I'm thinking about it too hard.
I did love Parks and Recreation, though. They did a very good job of recreating local government!
Am I in Horseville? Because I'm hearing nothing but naysayers!
I thought Michael quitting was just a sweeps stunt but it turns out that the Michael Scott Paper Company was exactly the shot in the arm that the season needed. Michael, Pam, and Ryan (who continues to deteriorate into the practically best character on the show) have an amazing dynamic. Plus Charles hating Jim has made him great again by putting him on his heels, which he's been in desperate need of in the post-Pam era.
I was going into queasy-stomach-awkward overload waiting for the ill-fated soccer scene. Poor Jim is no match for Stringer Bell. Not by a long shot.
My girlfriend loved Michael Scott rolling up in his PT Cruiser convertible and declaring, "It's Britney, bitch," and then failing to complete the easiest parallel parking job in the history of vehicles.
I was a little curious as to why Dwight and Andy brought instruments to work and how they were allowed to play during the work day, but that scene was just so awesome I can overlook it. I was scared they were going to turn Erin into the new Angela but I was pleased to see their bromance trumped the new skirt, at least for now.
I'm looking forward to more of the Michael Scott Paper Company, but I'm just not sure how long it'll last before he's back with Dunder Mifflin. I also enjoyed Parks and Recreation; it's gotten a weekly spot on my DVR already.
I kept thinking, why didn't Jim just google "run down" instead of being clueless the whole show. I really loved Pam breaking down and realizing how big a mistake they both made. I think Charles was on the phone with corporate saying something to the effect of " WTF am I doing here?this entire office is nothing but people who don't do thing all day."
Did anyone else catch the change to the opening sequence?
These two episodes really redeemed last weeks bummer. I guess, as hard as it is for me to believe Pam would impulsively walk out of the company to join with someone she knows is fairly incompetent, I'll just have to accept it as long as they continue to bring the funny. And I'm glad they tried to explain her thinking in some capacity.
The dueling bangos was just awesome.

So I sat on a Rec & Parks board for almost four years (an elected position so sought after that I won the election because no one ran against me). The public meeting was so accurate it gave me flashbacks. We had a similar cast of locals at almost every meeting - and they brought the CRAZY. And the "Chuck E. Cheese" bit was almost exactly what a landlord said to me regarding his desire to privatize our district. I'll be watching this show as well.

We all have ways of coping. I use sex and awesomeness.
I appreciate them taking a new direction, but watching Michael Scott has become sad and depressing rather than funny lately. Jim may be getting what he deserves, but it doesn't really make for hilarious comedy.
Jim is miserable. Pam is miserable. Michael is miserable. It's hard to watch week after week. Even George Constanza had happy moments once in a while.
The funniest part of this is the Ryan and Pam banter and Ryan's complete lack of professionalism or work ethic. (Considering he somehow made VP and the way Michael blindly thinks he is so awesome.)
Did Ryan get picked up by his mom at the end of the day?
The alternate credits were awesome, since three of the five people are working for the MSP Co., it worked awesomely that they only needed to work in Dwight, since Pam has Jim's picture.
I loved everyone talking on the phone about everyone else.

Have you googled run down? The first thing you get is an imdb page for a movie starring some big guy named The Rock... The seventh link provided is the dictionary.com definition, which mentions "a point-by-point summary," but I can see how that wouldn't be enlightening in an office environment.
What I don't understand is why Jim didn't just ask what was a rundown when first told. I'm also surprised Jim caved and claimed to play soccer for the cheap brownie points. For as much as Charles keeps catching him at the wrong moment, he's digging these holes for himself with little help.
You believe me, don't you? Please believe what I just said...
No love for either Kelly? I think Kelly (Kapoor) was looking mighty fine this episode. The new one wasn't so bad, either.
There must be great chemistry between Rainn Wilson and Ed Helms; they're dynamite onscreen. They really have something going on there, and I'd love to see them do some bigscreen work together.
Jim just can't seem to catch a break, eh? Poor guy.
I saw "Michael Scott Paper Company" live, but I didn't get to see "Dream Team" until it was online. And I have to say, all my favorite moments in "Dream Team" probably involved Vikram.
* Him not knowing that "Nana" was Michael's grandmother. "I thought Nana raised some good questions." * Him and Pam waiting in the car at the bowling alley. "You know him better than I do. Is it possible that he is bowling?" To which Pam has to grudingly respond "Yes, it's possible."
* And then Ryan trying to claim he makes $60K a year as the bowling alley's shoe bitch.
Ryan's already completely unlikable though. I hope he gets his comuppance again.
I also enjoyed "Parks & Recreation", but I can understand how some people might consider it an Office clone. I definitely see the comparisons.
From left to right: I can't think of a comparison to Mark Brendanawicz. We don't know much about him. Is he pre-crazy Jan? Tom Haverford is part mean-spirited Jim Halpert (the upskirt picture, the fake note writing) with the dating style of Andrew Bernard. Leslie Knope is a female, (possibly) less self-absorbed Michael Scott. Ann Perkins is probably playing the straight man to the antics, which is Jim Halpert's role. Ron Swanson, Leslie's boss, is what Dwight Schrute would be as the head of the parks department. I don't think we know enough about April the Intern and Andy the boyfriend to know what role they'll play.
