I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and different strokes move the world but I thought that was about a thousand times funnier than "Margaritaville".

It's going to be a long time before I can hear "fishsticks" without laughing on the inside and it doesn't matter that it's completely juvenile. I laughed my ass off.

'But if one is struck by me only a little, that is far different, the stroke is a sharp thing and suddenly lays him lifeless, and that man's wife goes with cheeks torn in lamentation, and his children are fatherless, while he, staining the soil with his red blood, rots away, and there are more birds than women swarming about him.' Yeah, I did too. All my friends loved "Margaritaville". It didn't do anything for me.

When Kyle explained how Cartman's ego is so out of control that he can perform mental gymnastics to convince himself and truly believe he invented "Fishsticks", all I could think of was "that's exactly what Paul Heyman once said about Vince McMahon!"

I actually really don't like fishsticks too, so I'm comforted I'm not a gay fish.

I loved how Jimmy's mom killing the black widow morphed into Cartmen slaying a dragon and then finally going human torch against the Jewbots. And he's not fat.

I was thinking all of the above - loved the episode, loved the progression of Cartman's thinking, and completely loved the "Gay Fish" song at the end.

As long as we have self-important pop culture stars, this show is going to be able to keep going as long as it wants.

Kanye West's response. South Park might actually help turn him into a better person.

I just Googled "kanye south park" fully expecting to read about Kanye flipping his shit. His actual reply is no less than mind-blowing to me. I like him well enough but I've never really expected him to be able to take a joke, especially one this harsh.

As for the episode itself, I thought it was pretty funny, but probably only average for South Park these days. The "Heartless" parody at the end though, that was FANTASTIC.

Also, I know it's besides the point but I found a little ironic/amusing that they'd choose this particular topic (i.e., Kanye getting pissed off being called gay) to rag on his egomania since he's an outspoken advocate against homophobia in the hip-hop community.

I guess his ego is still too big for lowercase.

Should South Park ever get too big for its britches, who's going to go after them?

I'm disappointed I never made the fish-dicks connection myself...

Well, they did go after themselves last week for the April Fool's joke they played over ten years ago. Does that count? :-) Queef free!

I too loved it more than Margaritaville. I can't add anything more that what has been said except for that I love that Carlos finally got some that was coming to him.

I thought they did that fine. He was no more pissed about the gay part than he was the fish part. And primarily pissed off about not getting the joke.

It was a good episode, & I loved the increasingly delusional Cartman. I think in the great Margaritaville vs. Fishsticks debate, it all depends on what resonates more with the individual viewer, right? Kanye West barely appears on my radar, where the financial institution debacle & "too many stupid people buying stupid shit they can't afford" is a *whole* lot higher up on my personal priority list. :-)

(And that's ... ohh-kay.) :-)
