I do not want to give anything away on this episode, but if you have not seen it yet, see it now. This was one of the greatest South park episodes ever. Matt and Trey - I bow to your genius.

"Marriage is like that show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, but it’s not funny. All the problems are the same, but you know instead of all the funny, pithy dialogue, everybody is really pissed off and tense. Marriage is like a tense, unfunny version of 'Everybody Loves Raymond', only it doesn't last 22 minutes. It lasts forever."

The very first scene had me on the floor. And then the scene at Sur le Table. And the llama!!!

I don't generally revert to internetese but, "OMFG, excellent!"

I watched it again on DVR and can honestly say this was THE best episode ever of South Park. It is not even close.

A very good episode, one of their best. I don't know if I'd say it was THE best ever, but definitely up there.

I'll agree with everything already said here. The Sur La Table stuff was hilarious and I've been speaking like that all over the house (much to my girlfriend's horror). The whole plot was pretty clever. They never cease to amaze me.

I guess I was the only one who noticed that they setup some of their shots pretty close to "Life of Brian"

The shots of Stan from a distance preaching and the shot of they panning right of all the prophets in a row, to name a couple.

EDIT:

Oh, and I loved it too. Not THE BEST, IMO, but it's up there in my top 20.

Hey, I am all for opinions and I understand that one man's trash is one man's treaure but how could this episode NOT be in your top 5, or top 10 at least??? Top 20?? That is just not possible in my eyes that here are more than 15 better episodes than this one.

Well, off the top of my head, any combo of Imangination-land (3 episodes) & Go God Go (2 episodes) would be my top 5. I'm sure if I looked at the episode list, I could find another 10 that I found better than this one.

Well, I respect your opinion and will honor it. And while I may have to go back and watc thearc episodes, as a stand alone, I will still say this was the best yet. And the fact that it comes so late into it's run where most sitcoms falter says a lot abou the writing of this show.

This episode wasn't even the best episode of season 13. I'm amazed that everyone here loved it so much. I enjoyed the chicken scene, but the rest of Stan's search for his money got old.

I felt that the Jonas Brothers episode was way better than this one.

It was certainly clever as most South Park episodes are but I feel just out of touch with its humor. It was a good chuckle and it was smart but in my opinion, this wasn't even making Scott Tennerman eat his parents good. Or the Passion episode for that matter.

A lot of episodes get too much love because someone feels so good that they "get it" like they solved quantum physics. In most cases it is those same people that are being made fun of in the episode.

The Castle is the title of an unfinished novel (it actually ends mid-sentence) by Kafka which describes one man’s struggle to gain access to the overly bureaucratic authority that rules from a castle over a particular village.
