I didn't think the whole Phyllis bit was the type of thing this show should be going for. That's pretty standard fair tv. I liked a lot of the show and the begining with the phone salesman was great.

I agree. But if Bob Vance was never around, then one of my all time under rated but hysterical lines would never be uttered when at the Christmasparty, he introduced himself, one at a time, to Stanley, Oscar and Ryan as "Hi, Bob Vance, Vance Refridgeration" and at the end, Ryan asks "So Bob, whatline of work are you in?". I killed myself laughing because it was the perfect response.
"Marriage is like that show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, but it’s not funny. All the problems are the same, but you know instead of all the funny, pithy dialogue, everybody is really pissed off and tense. Marriage is like a tense, unfunny version of 'Everybody Loves Raymond', only it doesn't last 22 minutes. It lasts forever."
Not the line of the night for me...I couldn't help but think that that line caused the shark jump. Not for the show, but for Dwight. I mean really is that the best they have for him?
Then again I liked it enough to hope that it will show up in the random quote generator via this very site.
O.K. show. I didn't need the noise from the restroom. I think it would have been played off better without that scene. Just show the bed head and a quick statement of "let's eat". That would've worked far better for me.
Stanley at the end threw me. I've already erased the DVR, but was he in the episode other than the end of the shift? I don't recall seeing him.

While I agree the line was a little out of place, I think they kept it in becasue (speculation only) it took them so long to film it and it probably had the whole crew cracking up. You can see for a second when Raiin breaks character and smiles which to me shows that everyone just killed themselves laughing over this line and this was the best they could do to keep it serious. I think even the people in the background are smiling/laughing during this shot. To me, that makes the entire scene.

He was in the background when Michael invited Jim to suck it, and was in the scene of people walking to their car. Which is a little weird since he wasn't at the party at all, nor would he be invited, as he is married.
He is also visible in the background in the deleted scene at nbc.com where Dwight tells people that there's no reason to be afraid that their donated blood is going to be used in a ritualistic way or to keep something alive that should have never been born. Also worth mentioning is the other deleted scene where Dwight tells us that his soul mate was probably Disney's Mulan.
I was waiting for Dwight to put the moves on the girl instead of just trying to sell her paper simply to make Angela jealous since he was in the room when she brought up the two duels. She was blonde, cute and petite - his type. But rather shy and not so domineering, so maybe not.
That is exactly how I would expect Kevin to talk to a girl. Exactly.

I took that little smile and pause to mean that Dwight just retracted his penis up into itself and was looking at the camera like, "See? I just did it." Pretty funny either way.

I never thought of it that way, but you are right, either way, I thought it was pretty funny.
