WWE Smackdown was last night - here's a quick 'n' dirty results.
-Undertake comes out and accepts Shawn Michael's challenge at Wrestlemania. According to the Taker, he doesn't acknowldge the streak, he just uses Wrestlemania to show his peers what he represents. Uh huh. A Shawn Michaels video package interrupts him; then the Undertaker busts out the sweet line "You gotta go through hell to get to heaven". I love that line.
I could never get tired of the Taker on the stick...but maybe that's because it's a rare occasion.
Classic Moment Time: Hulk vs. Andre, WMIII - oh, and it's available in the new Legends game. If I owned a PS3 or a Xbox 360, I'd get it...but I'll see what everyone here says about it first.
Vickie's office: She's panicked since she can't reach Edge. Ummm...she did set him up against Big Show, hellO? Hahaha! Anyhow, enter Jeff Hardy, who's pressured into taking on Evil Matt Hardy into an MITB qualifying match. He declines, but instead says that he's gonna win the match, and then challenge the winner of Edge/Big Show at Wrestlemania and win the title. Lofty aspirations, but maybe Jeff Hardy/Big Show could be fun.
All I could figure out is that Jeff wants in on the MITB, but doesn't want to face his brother to get there. Awwww....
Matt Hardy's in the ring, and take the stick: Jaff's avoiding him and his problems, blah blah blah...He say that if he wins tonight and Jeff wins tonight, they'll have their showdown AT Wrestlemania. Matt adds that he'll destroy Jeff, and the six other competitors to become World Champion.
MVP's music cues up, and he's on his way out.
Match 1 - MVP d. Matt Hardy
Fun match, but ends when Matt signals for the Twist Of Fate, but instead he kicks MVP who rolls him up and scores the pinfall.
After commercial, JR and Tazz thank the WWE Universe for helping them break a MyNetwork record. Until they break that record again, of course.
Video: Miz and Morrison make fun of the Colons. Check out the Dirt Sheet on WWE.COM!
Match 2: Maryse d. Eve Torres
-Typical Diva's match, Maryse wins with a cross body off the second turnbuckle and then a DDT. I miss Trish and Lita.
Contract signing sees Edge pissed off at Vickie; Big Show come out IN A TUX and sign the contract (that's worthy of a few rewinds!) and John Cena clean house and whisper sweet somethings into Vickie's ears. Ummm...okay. I missed a few details, but it almost looks like all three men want Edge's title, but then again...they could also want Edge's woman. Okay.....
Match 3: Sheldon Benjamin d. Jeff Hardy by DQ (MITB qualifier)
-Awesome match ends whe Matt Hardy clocks Sheldon in the head, thus causing Sheldon to win. Yeah, that pretty much solifies Jeff vs. Matt at Mania.
NEXT: HHH vs. Umaga!
A preview of 12 Rounds is shown...I'll probably catch this in the theatres.
Match 4: Triple H vs. Umaga ends in a no-contest when Umaga gets injured and Legacy comes out and beats the tar out of HHH in an overlong beatdown. I don't get this - is it that Orton's allowed to physically provoke HHH, but not the other way around? Either way, I hate non-finishes to round out a card.

I believe Orton said that HHH can't touch him unless he's physically provoked, or else the match is off, but there was no clause that says Orton can't initiate physical contact. So, to answer your question, yes.
So Orton beating the shit out of HHH in an unprovoked attack won't be sufficient provocation to justify a violent retaliaton? I don't think they thought this one through.
Orton said "I don't touch you, you don't touch me (deletia) That's the agreement". Of course, WWE writers figure their audience only has an attention span and memory of about 3 minutes.
Now they didn't plan on Umaga getting hurt so they edited out the footage of Umaga getting treated and inserted in footage of Legacy attacking HHH after the taping of the 2nd show. They did a good job on Friday's show of editing that to make it seem like one continuous event.

I didn't know this - what's the extent of the injury?
Cena's blackmailing Vickie into including him in the title match because he has proof that Vickie and Show got it on. With any luck, this means the return of GTV!
I'm pretty sure the Umaga injury was fake, just a way to not have a finish and have a reason for Umaga to disappear so that Legacy could do their thing.
Originally posted by MUTigermaskCorrect me if I'm wrong, but isn't Umaga a 2nd-generation guy? Legacy could use some muscle.
If the family tree at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anoa%27i_family is to be believed, it depends on what you mean by second-generation. His parents do not appear to be involved in the business, but his uncles were Sika and Afa, the Wild Samoans. Notice that Jimmy Snuka is claimed to be related by marriage, but I can't find any record of the details on that.
But as someone noted on here, how do you have a 2nd-generation wrestler who is a mysterious jungle savage?
