Sorry to see him go; I found him to be really funny. Did he ever get a win?

Scotty Goldman debuted some 5 or 6 months ago on Smackdown, getting an interesting debut promo on the 'Double Feature' two-screen display they use when he was walking down for his entrance where he broke the fourth wall and talked about being trapped in a box before stopping to watch himself make his entrance. He promptly lost his match. He was in the battle royal next week where The Brian Kendrick won entry into the Scramble match, and that was it for him until the last few weeks, where he appeared in the battle royal Kozlov won to get into the Elimination Chamber and then got squashed by Umaga on this week's Smackdown.
He was also given his own WWE.com talk show, which just had its name changed this week to "Good As Goldman". I doubt they'd change the name of the show if they were planning to fire him, so I'm guessing he asked for his release, but that's purely guesswork.
As for who Colt Cabana (his indy persona) is, I'm far from a knowledgable indy guy, but he's a Ring of Honour veteran who used to team with CM Punk if I'm remembering right. He had strong comedic tendencies, which made people think he'd work well in WWE.
Speaking of Smackdown, was that the most god awful interview you have ever seen of HHH giving to JR? Talk about killing momentum and making yourself look like a pussy all at the same time, that's what HHH did to himself.
And please, god no please, not a Kozlov vs JBL feud.... The only way I see that working is if JBL becomes Kozlov's manager. If there is one person who could bring back the manager gimmick, it's JBL. He could them his ranchers, herdsman, whatever....
WEAK. I knew this was coming but they didn't even give my boy a chance. Lucky for him ROH is on TV now.
Speaking of under-utilized doomed Smackdown stars I'm gonna make a prediction right here now. I expect a "Kiz-arny has been released...." thread by November.

Don't you mean a "Kizarny hizas bizeen rizeleased" thread? (he was on SD this Friday, weirding out Vicki until Edge barged in)

He's already had more story than Goldman. When you brought that up I forgot that Edge has made several mentions to knowing the guy since high school, so he may last a bit longer than I anticipate.
Godspeed, men of the 2nd Bn, 127th Infantry, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, Wisconsin Army National Guard! Victory in Iraq!

He would often work Punk around the indies, including us here in NWA Wisconsin. His gimmick shirts had a Coca-Cola theme to him...vs. Punk's Pepsi tattoo. Cabana would often take a fan's Coke and spit it in Punk's face, who would then sell it like it was battery acid. Awesome.
He held the NWA Wisconsin belt for a few months; we still have a funny picture of him giving the local "REPENT OR PERISH" streetwalking guy hell, 'cause Cabana's Jewish.
According to Meltz, Lufisto also recently suffered a stroke, although I would have to think that in her case it would be more likely to be the result of lots of head shots and such than steroids. Still, scary stuff. She's only 30.
