Every time I pass the television section in Blockbuster and see DVDs of "The Wire" I get all sad and wistful. This news makes me practically giddy with excitement.

Idris Elba has been added to The Office cast as a corporate “no-nonsense hire” at Dunder Mifflin who is going to make things a little tougher on Michael Scott.
Looks like his new boss, not employee.
I think Jan tried to straighten Michael out *once* when she had Pam record everything that Michael did in the office on one given day. I can't remember what ever became of that list.

Didn't Pam chuck it in the trash when Michael landed an incredibly large account at the end of the day?
Yeah, that was "Initation", where he practiced his Cosby impression (at the time we were unaware that the client's time was Coselli), then stood in the pretzel line for an hour, then took a nap, then made a giant sale when the client finally called.
Well, I just got THE WIRE complete series for Christmas, and I am LOVING this news. Can't wait to see how Stringer pulls of the comedy. Of course, one could say that his latest movie roll in THE UNBORN was comedy. Since the movie had me laughing at how bad it was.
Switch to Direct TV. I just got hammered by a Comcast deal, so I am a bit bitter towards them. Direct TV does have some disadvantages, but I don't think they could be as bad as the current Comcast customer support.
