What could she possibly teach Kelly Kelly? (Other than how to injure yourself)...
And plus Candace just came back like what, 5 weeks ago? So they haven't established this duo at all on TV. It must have been some throwaway comment by Cole, because I can't imagine they want this to be the actual story.
Anywho, this was finally the week that the writing so utterly failed Santino, that even he couldn't save it. The stuff with Hacksaw was okay, but the whole promo beforehand was terribly unfunny. Good job WWE.
A terrible and confusing main event capped off an awful edition of Raw. I find myself watching MNF much more than ever these days, mostly because Raw is subpar.
"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)
I finally got around to watching RAW just now, and yeah, this one, while better than last week's, was subpar still. I liked Santino's segment a lot, with "Why are you have the anger at me? is it because you don't have your own HONK A METER?", and even Duggan got in some good digs.
However, the main event was totally bogus as some people alluded to already. Let's job Kane and Mark Henry out for no reason. Regal lost twice in 30 seconds. And the rules made no sense. One guy gets to go and the other one gets to pick the scraps? What?
(And I don't think this is the first time they've EVER opened RAW with a womens match, but I'd say its a once a year occurrence on average.)
Originally posted by haydenWeek after week, I keep thinking that Batista's act is much better suited to heeldom, with the chuckles and that cocky smirk that always seems to be on his face. Am I alone in thinking this?
Ooooooh, the smirk & the chuckles are sooooo goooood! A proper alpha male is completely entitled to dismissive behaviour toward the yapping rabble. Demonstrates that he is amused & wholly unruffled by this nonsense -- not worth his effort. And actually that applies whether he's a face or a heel -- that only difference being who it is that he's being dismissive of.
Batista rocked that same attitude on the heel side when he was in Evolution. And in the Shawn Michaels feud, Dave just slid right over to the dark side, played that well, then slid right back over.
Do we get a Cena appearance here on Sunday at the PPV?
That Santino segment was 9+ minutes, according to my TiVo. Beth neither bitch-slapped Duggan nor put her foot in his crotch -- one or both of which she should have. And then Santino proceeded to slice himself up on guitar parts. Needs more wrestling ... with the good worker of the team.
