The ads for the nWo: Back In Black DVD say it has 4 Easter Eggs. Anyone found them yet?

I have to go back and look for them. It is a really good DVD.

Go to the Breakdown section, on page one, go down to the "Next" button and hit right instead of enter, you'll get one of those WWF nWo hype videos they used before they came in.

Also on page one, go to the "Resume" button, hit right instead or enter, another one of the WWF nWo hype videos.

Then on page two of the Breakdown section, go down to the "Back" button, hit right instead of enter, yet another one of the WWF nWo hype videos.

And then...the one that's actually worth it, still on page 2, go down to the "Resume" button, hit right instead of enter and you'll get...well, you'll see. It's worth it.

Hey thanks Holly. I guess it wasn't that hard to find them. I tried but I guess not hard enough. I haven't had a chance to look at them yet but I will tonight. Thanks again.

One of them is the first "Message brought to you by the NWO" from Nitro. That thing was long, about 6-8 minutes of HH, Hall and Nash talking about who is going to be the 4th member and their upcoming matches at 'Road Wild'. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Are there any matches on the DVD, or is it just old promos and junk? When I looked at the DVD at Suncoast this weekend, all the pictures on the cover were of WWF stuff they did in February, and remembering the WHAT? DVD (which promised WCW footage, and had like three minutes of it and the Steamboat/Austin match), I decided to wait until I found a review of it. Which I have not.

So, anyway... matches?

The DVD has WarGames of 96, Nash vs. Goldberg from Starrcade 98, and The nWo vs. Stone Cold and The Rock. I would buy any dvd for a War Games match alone.

And those are the complete matches, not snippets. The Wargames and Starrcade footage brings back memories.

As a fan of the original days of the nWo and it's history, I can say I give this DVD a full thumbs up. They highlight Hall, Nash, and Hogan equally and do a very good job of mixing WCW and WWF footage to do so. The Razor Ramon stuff had me rolling.

If you've ever wanted a complete history of the nWo, this is as close as you'll ever get. If you think the real nWo is Hall, Nash and Hogan, this is your DVD.

I hope that WWE creates more DVDs featuring WCW footage.

I think they should put a couple of WCW PPV's out and test this profitiability. I gurantee, if nothing else, some "best of" DVD's could make money. I know they have a Hogan DVD coming out in the fall (bad timing...I'll buy it, but how many other will by then?) and I'm sure that'll have some WCW stuff on it. They definitely haven't done enough with that video library. Sure, a lot of what WCW did sucked, but they also had some classic stuff and they could make money off it.

All in all, the WWE hasn't done enough with their DVD's. The Wrestlemanias are great, this nWo one is very good, and there's a couple more good ones ("Best of Raw 1 and 2" and "Action" come to mind) but most of the PPV ones are just too thin. I buy them all because I'm a loser and like to have them, but more people would if they included more. I mean even Austin was disappointed with his "What?" DVD, which I liked, but as he said, could have been better. As for this nWo one, I saw some of the TV stuff orginially, but didn't have the money to get the PPV's, so all the extra matches made it well worth it. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars, personally.

I don't think they'll sell individual WCW PPVs by themselves, but I'm sure more comprehensive history DVDs would do very well. Hopefully we'll get to see a history of Ric Flair, which of course would HAVE to feature tons of NWA/WCW stuff. Plus I'd like to get a look back at his first WWF run as well.

I'd be very surprised if the Hogan DVD showed much WCW footage at all.

Maybe a full 4-5 hours DVD on the history of the WCW/WWF Monday night wars or whatever would be nice.

Those old VHS tapes that WCW released featuring the "Best" of Starrcade, Halloween Havoc, etc just sucked. The WWE's production team can do so much better, but for a mainstream audience, I don't think it's going to be worth it.

Why not? The nWo Wolfpack did nothing to further the nWo angle, besides sell new red t-shirts. It was cool for a little while, but in the course of nWo history, the nWo Wolfpack is very, very insignificant.

Especially to the current WWE nWo, which is based on the first incarnation which was showcased on the DVD.

While I would love to see that stuff on DVD, it really didn't fit with this collection. It would be nice to see it, but I highly doubt it will be released on anything but a History of Kevin Nash/Diesel DVD(which can't be too far away).

Of course, one could also look at it a few other ways: Perhaps the 3.7-4.1 area is the min/max region outside of MNF. Or, perhaps bringing people in isn't going to pop the ratings the 47th time as it did the 1st time.
