75. That was tougher than I thought it would be due to the time limit. With a couple more minutes I'm pretty sure I would have broken 100.

I got 87. It was getting to be more of a typing and spelling exercise since I was thinking JUST fast enough to not have any giant pauses. I'm certain we did this a loooooong time ago (maybe even on the old ezboard) and I'll say now what I said then - being in the Model UN certainly helps. ;-)

Either this doesn't work with my browser or there's some weird method for entering the names that I didn't get--probably the former. So I never entered anything, but I typed 91 names. I'm pretty sure they're all real countries but I may have had spelling errors and I don't know how the program responds to variants--for example, I had typed "Great Britain" and I saw "United Kingdom" on the list, so I don't know if I would have gotten credit for that or had to waste time retyping or what.

Yeah, I really hated the input model. And spelling definitely counts. I had all of South America typed in before I noticed that my misspelling of Uruguay was blocking the input. It also seemed that things like leading white space or an extra blank between multi-word names will fail. I spent more of the 5 minutes fighting with the UI than coming up with countries.

We did have something similar not that long ago. This thread (The W) from Spring 2007 began with a link to a "Name All Fifty States" challenge, but Post #27 (by JayJayDean) introduced a link to a challenge to name all 192 U.N. member states in ten minutes.

81, not bad, although when I look at the list I can't believe some that I missed....

Typing exercise and spelling in some cases that slowed me down..

76. I'm not a good typist, but I am still mad at hell at myself for not doing better. Geography is what I studied the most in school.

Actually, the first thing I would do is contact your bank and have them issue a stop payment on the cheque (if it hasn't been cashed already).
