It's important to point out that no files were charged and no arrests were made. Also remember that Goodell did not discipline Marshawn Lynch for his hit & run earlier this year, in which charges were filed and a guilty plea was entered.
That being said, it doesn't look good for Jones, who can't (and never will?) get a clue.
The article is extremely vague (or perhaps contradictory) about what happened. On the one hand it says that Jones and his bodyguard damaged a bathroom. On the other hand it says they were merely in a verbal argument.
I suppose the former could be caused by the latter, but a damaged bathroom plus the (possibly misleading) headline that Jones was in a FIGHT~! makes me think it had to be more than a verbal argument.
Then again, maybe the reason why the police didn't do anything was because it was merely a verbal argument, and someone from the hotel possibly overreacted by calling the police in the first place. If that's all it was, I expect this to turn into a non-story. Even if you're Adam Jones, nobody can expect you to go the rest of your life without so much as ARGUING with someone.
What people seem to be missing the boat on is that it doesn't matter that Spurrier hasn't coached an NFL game or that the Fun N Gun may not work in the NFL--although if he can turn DUKE into a winner, you aren't gonna find me betting against him making it...
