Wonder what the pay difference is between jobbing for Great Muta compared to jobbing for newbs? At least with Muta he was on TV.

I think Kofi Kingston is just kind of a boring character. He's kind of filling that role of good natured baby face that is always there when there is a face in peril. I think Kofi is talented in the ring, but I just hate it when guys get stuck in that role. They could turn him heel, but then he could get stuck bouncing all over the map like Shelton Benjamin.

Also does the WWE have any African-American writers? Have they ever? They seem to have a tough time getting their black wrestlers over, and there is a lot of talent ... Kofi, Benjamin, Burke even Cryme Tyme. An established star like Booker T they did alright with at times, and then they can always point to The Rock ... but really this is the best they can do with these guys? It seems like they are missing the boat with a huge demographic.

Maybe, I should have splintered this off into it's own thread. Then again those can get ugly.

* Obvious point, the WWE doesn't seem to be booking white wrestlers all that well either these days. Touche.

- PS can Kofi be added to spell check?

Yes I hate it when a good wrestler like CM Punk gets regulated to feuding with a 3 time World Champion, the youngest champion ever and the second best heel on Raw. Poor Punk. He should go back to ROH where he can beat guys nobody has ever heard of until they make it as a midcarder on ECW.

There's also a teeny flaw in Cody's rationale that Kane's a second generation superstar because he's the son of Paul Bearer. Hmm. What could that flaw be?

Maybe Cody just thought he wouldn't be a good tag team partner for THEM. After all Ted Jr.'s daddy is the one that introduced Kane's brother Undertaker so he's gotta be pretty pissed about that. Or are Kane and the Undertaker friends again? I can never keep that straight.

What else is he there for?

I think the Champion of Champions match could be fun. Yes, Triple is probably going to win but if HBK comes to the ring with Triple H, Cade comes to the ring with Jericho and Jeff comes to the ring with Matt then you've got:
HBK feuding with Jericho
HBK trained Cade
HBK friends with Triple H
Everybody knows about Triple H vs. Jericho
Triple is feuding with Jeff Hardy
Jeff Hardy is brothers with Matt Hardy
That's a lot of stories that can be told in one match. I think Matt getting pinned is the obvious choice but I think it would be pretty awesome if HBK took Jericho out and Jeff took Triple H out so Matt can get the surprise win.

As for the women's match. It's Smackdown, they're trying to build it up for the new channel and the new viewers. Of course McCool is going over Phoenix.

Patrice O'Neal for a time, but other than that I don't really keep up on who is writing for them.

You weren't watching the Raw I was watching. Orton's promo on Raw was build up JBL. Orton didn't even mention Punk.

Punk meanwhile wrestled in an 8 man tag team designed to build up **KANE** and **REY MYSTERIO**. And Punk's team LOST!!! Tell me, would Batista have been put into a spot of LOSING in a 8 man tag team match with low to mid carders as your partners? No he wouldn't.

Punk's push is done. He's on the level of a Kofi Kingston.

Didn't he tell Mike Adamle to suspend Punk? I'll be a monkey's uncle if Orton wrestles JBL in his first match back and not CM Punk.

I think it was also designed to continue Punk vs. the juniors. And it was the right finish a week before the PPV since Rey will gain more from beating Kane coming off a win (over the low-man on the face team totem poll).

    And Punk's team LOST!!!

But nobody beat Punk.

Batista lost a match when his partner was pinned by midcarder Lance Cade -- BURIED! Batista even lost a match when his partner was pinned by the same Rhodes and DiBiase from the 8-man.
