Samoa Joe is out and calls out Sting. Kevin Nash comes out and says that Joe's unfocused and not ready for his match on Sunday. Nash has set up a series of three matches for Joe later tonight, to see if Joe is ready.

Abyss vs. Christian Cage: Cage has answered an open challenge from Abyss. Match goes on for a while before Kurt Angle and Booker T come out to attack Cage; their plan is to work as a team against Joe on Sunday, so taking Cage out early will help that. They end up fighting with Abyss -- and out comes Matt Morgan -- and then they set up a tag match for later tonight.

Angelina Love takes on Taylor Wilde in a beauty contest with the Prince Justice Brotherhood as judges. Wow. Um, Wilde wins the Evening Gown portion.

Sting is on Karen's Angle, talking about respect.

AJ Styles calls out Frank Trigg. Trigg challenges Styles to a submission-only match with three 5-minute segments at No Surrender. Styles accepts and then they fight.

Angelina Love wins the Bathing Suit portion of the beauty contest.

Awesome Kong vs. Roxxi: This is a "Bimbo Brawl." The continued use of that phrase and the preceding bikini contest suggest that there are two factions in TNA with very different ideas of what the Knockout Division means, and it also suggests that the wrong side is winning.

Anyway, Roxxi takes a beating, comes back, and then gets BUSTED OPEN with a chair shot, Awesomebombed, and pinned. Kong and Raisha Saeed go for the beatdown but are chased off by ODB.

Samoa Joe vs. Johnny Devine: This is the first of Nash's three challengers -- Joe beats Devine in about eight seconds with a Death Valley Driver.

Samoa Joe vs. Lance Rock: Rock fares little better, tapping out to the Coquina Clutch.

Samoa Joe vs. Tomko: Tomko is valiant but gets KILLED on Joe's STO out of the corner -- flipping Tomko over onto his head -- and the Muscle Buster finishes it.

(Tomko is, apparently, back with TNA on a part-time, show-by-show basis.)

Kevin Nash is out and says that he's taught Joe everything he knows, and that Joe's on his own now. Awww!

And here's the Talent Segment of the beauty contest. Love recites a limerick about Taylor. Taylor plays drums (she can keep a beat, but falls apart on the fills). OMG Taylor Wilde wins! She gets beat down by the Beautiful People until Rhino makes the save, chasing them, and Kip James, away.

Booker T and Kurt Angle vs. Matt Morgan and Abyss: Kind of fun, here, with Morgan finally doing something other than squashing jobbers. Angle gets the pin after Team 3D kill Abyss with a chair shot to the head.

Sting comes out to give his THIRD show-closing speech in a row (!). He'd like to talk to Jeff Jarrett. Samoa Joe is here instead, in the rafters, and suggests that perhaps Sting views Joe as a threat. Sting is welcome to come to No Surrender, but Joe's not coming alone -- and here's JJ himself. Well. I guess it's nice that they told us in advance exactly how big a clusterfuck the No Surrender Main Event is going to be.

Maybe I'm just tired, but I feel pretty uninspired by all of this.

I've been sick all week, soI've actually been watching tv and had this on last night (only because the Twins played yesterday afternoon). Holy Christ this was bad. Sting on karen's Angle wasn't bad, but that was about it. Kip James needs a bra to hide those manly sized nipples. ICKY! The beauty pagent was gawdawful. Honestly, the only reason I watched it (besides the boobies) was watchign Borash and wondering what his brother was up to. (I used to work with him in a band years ago. Their Mom danced with me at my wedding. I have pictures to prove it!) Other than that, the wrestling really did nothing for me (when I was paying attention). Hey lookie! Big Sexy grew his hair back! gray or not, it looks better than the shaved crap he had.

Oh, boy, JJ is back!

guess I'll check it out again in six months. Time to take my Amoxicillan!

This was the first time I've watched a big chunk of the show, and it didn't feel like a PPV build-up show.

Roxxi's gash was awful, and the cameras zoomed in on it plenty. But during Christian's fantastic "one hour" promo, they bleep "ass." I don't get the standards here. However, I continue to adore Awesome Kong. She sold for Roxxi.

They broke my heart by bringing out Jarrett for Joe's back-up at the PPV. I had enough time to hope for Foley. Also, I hate Jarrett.

Joe just about killed Devine with that DVD.

Morgan looks like he's made of Naugahyde. He and Tomko both looked scary thin. Like how Bryan Adams and The Wall looked.

I am beginning to worry about Roxxi's safety. After the power bomb on the chair last week, and the wicked gash this week. Realizing they both happened the same night at the tapings makes it even worse. That's one tough chick.

Morgan has looked quite slimmed down since he joined the company last year, I couldn't really tell a difference. Christian also looks like he weighs about 180 lbs now.

I thought this show was decent, with just a few groan out loud moments during the beauty contest. I will say it for the 2nd week in a row, it was no better or worse that Raw or Smackdown.

Definitely not one of the best shows. I'm still intrigued by the Sting angle, but I'm tired of waiting for some sort of payoff. Sting doing promos at the end of each show isn't really working, and JJ seemed more threatening when he was a ghostly presence rather than a blonde guy standing on top of a bunch of fireworks.

Beyond that:

I heart Roxxi and ODB both, so I enjoyed the Brawl quite a bit. ODB took a while to grow on me, but I really enjoy her now. (My wife refers to her as "a hot chick version of Hacksaw Jim Duggan).

Christian's promo was awesome and I wish there was a chance in hell he'd take the title on Sunday. ACtually, that's just the kind of swerve TNA pulls every now and then, so I haven't given up all hope.

The real lack was in the matches tonight. Nothing really spectacular, no X-division stuff. I really, really hope the Lethal/Dutt feud ends once and for all on Sunday, so both guys can move on. I can't think of two more talented guys currently wasting away in such a crappy angle.

Matt Morgan and Abyss make me want to fast forward separately. Putting them together saves me time.

I guess I'm in the minority but I'm looking forward to Jeff Jarrett coming back. 1. He can work. 2. He can talk. I don't know why anybody wouldn't want him on the roster. I know that last time around he hogged the main event time and the title but who did they REALLY have? Sure AJ and Raven should have won the title sooner, but they didn't have much to go on. Now they have Angle, Christian, Booker and they've established Styles and Joe as main eventers. Jarrett isn't going to dominate the main event like he did before, those other wrestlers won't allow it.

I might be biased because I'm a Christian mark, but I honestly think hiring Christian is the best move TNA has ever made roster-wise. Only Jericho and Edge are cutting better promos right now and he's been having some great matches just about every time out. I'm conflicted because I'd love to see Christian win the belt again but I don't think it's time for Joe to lose it yet. Joe should at least go ahead and break the longest reigning champion record (180 days, remember this is the new TNA title, not the NWA title) which he'll reach in about a month. I'd love to see Joe/Christian at Bound for Glory but I'm doubting that will happen.

All I remember about the entire show is that the PPV will be ONE HOUR something something. Felt Cage's promo was a bit too long and monotonous.

I think Roxxi getting hardway cut on the noggin has become quite frequent. The knockout division ladder match she got busted, then had her head shaved while bleeding(?), the 1st or 2nd Bimbo Brawl with the ill-fated Moose/Mickie Knuckles she bleed pretty badly, now the chairshot last night.

As horrifying as it looked, especially the gash, it was still an awesome finish.

I still think they would have been better going Benoit joining Heyman's Family instead of Angle, but, an ultra-heel Angle is always fun anyway. They build up Nunzio for weeks, then have Bill Demott squash him and Noble, and Crash for good measure.
