HHH starts his promo, gets interrupted by Shelton Benjamin and MVP, makes fun of their ignorance, saying to the crowd, "I swear to you I'm going to be champion for like, the next century." The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel Jackson attack, along with the other heels, until Jeff Hardy helps out Triple H. Ezekiel debuts a new facial expression: a half smile.
R Truth beats Bam Neely in short order. Bam Neely is the most boring guy on Smackdown right now.
The Undertaker cuts a promo on how he is going to put Vicky Guerro in a casket and set it on fire.
Shelton Benjamin beats MVP in a fun match.
Maryse accuses Maria of getting in her walking path, and then after making fun of Maria's clothes, she walks back to where she came from. So where was she going in the first place? She must have felt pretty dumb when she realized she never completed her journey.
Anyway, Maryse beat Maria in about two minutes.
The Brian Kendrick beat Jeff Hardy with a little help from Zeke.
Super Crazy beat Ryan Braddock and got booted by Vladmir Kozlov. Kozlov was challenged by the Big Show. The Big Show and Kozlov were yelled at and sent away by Vicky Guerro. Vicky Guerro says she doesn't care if the Undertaker burns her in a casket. My new kitten got behind the television and distracted me, so I really didn't catch a lot of this.
Brie Bella beat Victoria. The ol' twin switcheroo, which I've always enjoyed, should last for another month or so.
Hunter Hearst Helmsley is being interviewed when Jeff Hardy tells him that he's HHH's biggest worry in the scramble match. HHH says that Jeff has two strikes against him, and with a third, he's out. Is this part of Jeff's punishment for that last suspension? They make references to that and his home life?
Triple H beats Khali in a match where MVP, Shelton, Kendrick and Jeff are lumberjacks. Later, Jeff takes out HHH and the show ends.
Decent enough. Sold the PPV main event pretty well.
God, I know I keep repeating myself, but what in the world did Big Show do to get buried like this? The only thing I can figure out is Big Show is really, really hurting these days.
Kozlov saying two words to Super Crazy before booting him right of the ring was reminiscent to facing Akuma in the old Super Street Fighter 2 game. When you think you're fighting Bison then Akuma teleports out of nowhere and thrashes him to start the real fight.
Originally posted by Spiraling_ShapeIs R-Truth going to rap his entire entrance theme every week? It has a helluva lot more words that "Get Rowdy" did!
I hope not - it is really annoying as is his dancing. It seems to take away from his very capable in-ring athletisism.
So they spend six weeks building up Truth as this tough-but-wise guy from the streets, and then he comes back basically exactly the same as K-Kwik.
“How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person I’m portraying. You’re confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says ‘I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard,’ and I said ‘You are aware that I am not really a wizard?’ and Peter Jackson said ‘I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show.’ So I said ‘Okay’ and then I said to myself ‘Mmm.. How do I do that?’ And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras
