Despite a couple of really good wrestling matches, a bit of a filler show this week. Smackdown felt like it was in a holding pattern.
Despite being on the side of the door with the lock, somehow the Undertaker's supernatural powers prevented Vickie from opening the door. I did like how La Famila slinked away and abandoned her during Taker's promo.
Michelle McCool is terrible, grinning like a cheshire cat the entire time Maryse was in her face. Obviously the point is she doesn't consider Maryse a threat, who just grins like a happy Jack O'Lantern when a rival is trying to punk you out? Is she ever going to defend that purple butterfly that hardly fits around her skinny waist?
Brie Bella wasn't very good but the angle where she runs under the ring and switches with her twin has potential to be interesting.
The Jeff Hardy vs. MVP match was good but I hated the finish. Despite MVP brutalizing his back for most of the match, Jeff puts him away with 3 moves. I did like Shelton Benjamin laying them both out. Shelton's resurgence on Smackdown has been a highlight.
The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel reading The Art of War backstage = awesome. I'm picking Kendrick in the Scramble.
The Bashams are back and they have boobs. I was wondering if the WWE would find something to do with the Bella Twins. Now they just need a big black chick to spank them with a cat of nine tails in backstage promos.
The WWE's desire to stick with as many NXT guys as possible seemed evident during last year's cuts because they were almost all pre-NXT guys, while most of the NXT guys stuck around.
