If you know of any kick ass books on lighting techniques please let me know. It would be a bonus if they are written by a film great (ie Stanley Kubrick or David Lynch)

There's some good information in Basic Lighting Worktext For Film And Video by Richard Ferncase.

Unfortunately, it's basically a textbook, and I'm not sure that's the sort of thing you're looking for.
