Nope, this isn't the same continuity as the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Nor, judging from the "This isn't the future my mother warned me about" line, does this seem to be a movie elaborating on the future war sections of T1 and T2.
Interesting choice not to show a Terminator endoskeleton at all in the teaser. I guess we do all know what those look like by now.
If it were a teaser for any other sci-fi action movie, I'd say it looks pretty good. Christian Bale already sells it by his lonesome. But considering it's a Terminator movie, with all the baggage and fucked up time travel quandries that keep piling up, I'm weary and cautious.
I'm in. I loved T1, really loved T2 and enjoyed T3 so there is no reason in my mind that T4 should suck. I'll be there for sure.
"Marriage is like that show ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, but it’s not funny. All the problems are the same, but you know instead of all the funny, pithy dialogue, everybody is really pissed off and tense. Marriage is like a tense, unfunny version of 'Everybody Loves Raymond', only it doesn't last 22 minutes. It lasts forever."
Looking forward to it, but like anyone who saw Equilibrium I'm pretty sure they missed a big opportunity by not having Bale be our generation's Terminator.
I like that McG's directing it. After seeing what he accomplished with both Charlie's Angels movies...he could direct a remake of the Ten Commandments, and I'd go ahead and see it.
