Anybody know why Canada is not allowed to take part in this contest? I mean didn't the WWE used to have an office in Toronto? Are they scared Bret Hart might win?

What're you, one of those elitists? WWE is a piece of Americana, not Canadana.

Isn't $1 million American about $4.38 Canadian at this point anyway?

I think he's well aware of the exchange rate. I'm rich!

Wow. I had no idea the exchange rate went into the tank until I read this and then looked it up. Incredible.

Apparently, that won't be an issue unless they change how they run things:

I'm guessing they may have a dozen or two people on standby. Unless you're the caller at the top of the show and didn't tune in time, you've got plenty of time to go to website and get the password if they're going to tip you off that they're calling.

That would help explain why there was no shrieking or screaming when they found out they won as well.

Hey, my sister just graduated from Allegheny last year. Meadville is quite...ahem, quaint. But beer is super cheap there.

For the few phone calls I could sit through (we turned it off eventually) they caller did start to get excited about winning if you listened really closely, but they were quickly muted so we could hear McMahon's music.

Anyone who thinks the calls were staged is an idiot though. They were way too boring and stiff to be fake.

RAW needs a shakeup, but how? ECW and SD really can't afford to lose too many superstars at this point, and if ECW and SD's guys go to RAW and RAW's guys just go to ECW and SD, whats the point? Yay, Cena/HHH on SD instead of RAW now!

I believe the expectations were that the Marine and See No Evil would eventually be profitable, while there was no plausible scenario where The Condemned would make its money back (hence the writedown).
