I would hardly call RVD/Bubba vs. Brock/Eddy a random tag match. Bubba's got the issue with Brock and RVD with Eddy. Putting two seperate feuds together into one tag match has been used by promoters for a long long time as a way to build aticipation for the blowoff matches in the singles feuds.
I'll agree that the tag match wasn't truly random, but the streak of good Raws is over at 1.
I should point out that last week also started with an promo segment, but it was meaningful (Benoit return) AND the payoff was significant (Benoit heel turn at end of show).
This week, the payoff is a golden shower. Weee. (At least SCSA doesn't have green "pee").
Sad thing is that after last week's show, the viewership may have been up in hopes they could follow up with another nice effort. WWE will look at the increased ratings and say, "Hey, people love pee jokes, and the rest of the same old, same old"

Jeff Hardy sustained a torn rotator cuff in last week's Six-Pack Challenge Match on RAW, and will undergo surgery to replace it, WWE.com reports. In other Hardy-related news, Matt and Jeff Hardy have been announced as DLC for the WWE 2K18 video game.
