I have to say that Nash's anti-hype for his promo (I'd almost forgotten about it) led perfectly to the ultimate surprise. What a mind-blowing entrance by HBK. He didn't do a damn thing, and we have no idea what he's going to do. But he got the response they wanted, and we'll all be tuned in next week to see where it goes.

I loved the whole show, even the "gross-out" segments with the pee and the puke. Booker's interruption of Regal's promo was awesome. The matches were good. If I was disappointed by anything, it was that Bradshaw didn't get to put that saddle to use.

Well....that Raw sure had a lot of fun going for it. A few thoughts on what we just watched:

-Opening segment worked pretty well I thought. Established Benoit's motivatation and Eddy as a slimy evil person and set up the main event. No complaints, and the Arn Anderson puppet show was kind of amusing. Could have lived without the piss, but Vince obviously has some sort of a golden showers fetish, so whatcha gonna do?

-Bradshaw...it's Texas, so you know they're gonna trot him out. Not to be like Keith, but at least it was short.

-X-Pac vs. Goldust was fun, and any time the "ratty little sucka" line comes out I'm amused. Booker would go onto greater heights of course later. The Goldust bronco buster was amusing.

-Jeff Hardy actually gave me hope for something cool out of him. We discussed in a different thread a while back what could be done to make the Hardyz more interesting, and one idea was have them just go totally drive by psychotic. Perhaps a good first step on that path tonight.

-Trish vs. Terri. Oh well, Trish looks good in lingerie. That's about all I have good to say about this. Though the prolonged power bomb move was kind of impressive strength out of Trish (and Terri for pulling herself back up)

-I dug the RVD/Bubba vs. Eddy/Brock match. I know some people will complain that Brock sold too much, but they're not trying to make a new Goldberg. You can be a monster and yet still sell for people. Hell, sometimes I think more people need to realize that. Eddy looked great, and Bubba looked really good keeping up with everyone.

-The Regal interview with the Booker T interruption just owned the world. The drive-by "SUCKA!" was the coolest thing of the night for me, excepting of course the big surprise. The match was ok, a little slow perhaps, but nothing to really complain about.

-Dreamer vs. UT...I got hopeful that the ECW alumnus might pull an upset when they announced it as a non-title match. I got scared when they brought the slop bucket to ringside. I got happy when Jeff Hardy snuck in, hopefully beginning to do something new with his character.

-HBK! HBK! I can't think of anything else to say! I got chills when I realized it was him. Now I have some questions, about his health and his role, but at that moment all I knew was I was a happy man.

-Austin vs. Flair. I really am not excited by this whole angle. And I am not at all looking forward to the inevitable Flair/Austin vigniettes on the next Raw.

How's your new love?/I hope he's doin' fine/Heard you told him that you'd love him 'till the end of time/Now, that's the same thing/the same thing you told me seems like just the other day/Gee ain't it funny, funny how time slips away? - Willie Nelson tells the truth.

"I thought it was cool how HHH just tossed Jericho out of the ring and made him vanish, possibly into another dimension, at the end of the match." - Dr. Unlikely says the funniest thing I've ever read on Wienerville

HBK... Nuff said. When Nash announced a new membermy mind went real quick through a few possibilities, HBK wasnt one of them. Then i heard that music start, felt my jaw drop and just wow..... major markout moment. now we gotta see if he lives up to the legacy.

No, because Kurt Angle's main abstinence skits happened on one night and din't form the bulk of the feud with Big Show, whereas the entire WORLD TITLE feud was based around Triple H fake-fucking a corpse.
