So... I don't know if you've seen them in the store or the "Quest" website promotion, but Doritos is doing a puzzle game where "guessing the flavor is just the beginning"
Puzzle games are kind of fun, so I did the initial puzzles and got the invite to "guess the flavor". I'm cheap, and I really don't want to pay to play a promotion, so I decided to see if I could guess it based on the number of letters. I soon noticed that it gives you a lot of hints, and it was REALLY easy to guess. It just was the most insane answer and completely stomach churning.
As awful as that sounds, the sad thing is that I'm so sure there are a bunch of college kids who are saying "About time! My two favorite things put into one!"
This may not be as bad as the M.D. chip idea, but I think it's in the running for worst cross promotional idea. 7-11 slurpees made with flavors based on Movies and video games of all things. Who goes there thinking "I want to drink something based on Iron Man or Guitar Hero, even though the drink has nothing to do with them other than having the name on the damn cup"? Seriously, what happened to just choosing a fruit or soda to make a decent slurpee flavor out of it?

The answer is "Mountain Dew"
Sweet, salty, lemon-limey chips....
Blargh. What the hell were they thinking?
We just got them in. If you hadn't told me what it was, I'd say it was Lime flavor or something. Rather unusual, and probably not something I'd buy again.
Mountain Dew, really? I wouldn't have guessed that in a million years. I picked them up because I'm a sucker for mystery flavors, and the ingredients list promised me buttermilk. But I guess I can see Mountain Dew. They're really, really limey, and kind of sweet. They're not great, but odds are you've eaten worse things in your life.
