Danica Patrick spent the afternoon grousing about her car, then appeared to be looking for a fight after a crash ended her disappointing day at the Indianapolis 500.

Patrick collided with driver Ryan Briscoe while trying to leave pit lane late in Sunday’s race, and her car came to a halt.

A furious Patrick then got out of her car and purposefully strided toward Briscoe’s pit for what was shaping up as a confrontation with his crew, but track security personnel directed her back to her own pit area.

Can I be the first to say, I wish she would have gotten to his car, and he bitch slapped her stupid ass.
She has this attitude that she's supposed to win every race and when she doesn't she wants to get mad at the people who "get in her way". Wrecks happen, its part of racing. She needs to accept that, or move to NASCAR where she'll REALLY see what getting bumped around is like.

Frankly, I don't watch that much IRL, but when I do, it seems to have a similar theme: the Andretti- Green teams are either winning or are complaining about how they were robbed of winning. And it was more of the same on what was an otherwise fun race to watch. If it wasn't Danica with her usual pouting (and she needs to stop that NOW before she loses her charm, her fans, or like StaggerLee pointed out, her teeth from another driver deservely decking her), it was Tony Kanaan bitching out his own teammate. Hey, Marco didn't wreck you, you wreck yourself. I keep hearing how since you lead every 500 you're in and yet you don't have a win to show for it. So either close the deal or SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH UP ALREADY! Seriously, having to listen to these two takes so much fun and enjoyment out of watching the race.

I prefer the second half of the 1100. I dozed for the 500. I did see the video tape of Damica striding purposely toward whoever she was pissed off at.

We'll be back right after order has been restored here in the Omni Center.

I thought Eddie Cheever said it best - if that was a guy they wouldn't even have been showing it. As it was it's only been the second most childish thing I've seen this weekend, behind Denny Hamlin taking off Brad Keselowski's bumper last night.

And I'm with CRZ, I thought she absolutely had a beef. The thing I fault her for is not knowing better that it was going to get blown out of proportion. She should have learned that already.

Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

She did too, and that's what might wind up getting lost in all this. With everything that went on in pit lane during this month, some of which she was directly involved in (sportsillustrated.cnn.com), her "I'm a big brave girl" march up the pit lane was really, really, REALLY stupid. She's actually probably lucky she was cut off- she get's into Briscoe's pit, while they're still working on the car, she's probably parked for at least the next race.

You look at the two of them- Patrick and Fisher, both with legitimate reasons to be ticked off, and everyone is full of sympathy for the scrappy professional, trying to make a go of her own team, and none of that for Patrick. She's got to be careful. "When are you going to win?" has been replaced by "when are you going to win AGAIN?" and that might just wind up tougher for her to deal with.

If this happens in the future, is the guy allowed to fight back, or is he just supposed to let a women beat him up? What's the protocol?
