Entertainment Weekly is reporting trouble between Edward Norton and Marvel regarding the Hulk movie. The short version is Norton wants a longer, more detailed cut and Marvel wants something shorter and more action-packed.

http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20191802,00.html

And now a word from the Hulk himself:

Hulk want know why everyone mad. Hulk mediate problems, settle dispute, get everyone on same side.

Hulk say release commercial cut in theatres and save Norton cut for Blu-ray. Action junkies get see Hulk smash in theatres. Big brain puny humans buy longer cut on DVD and get more story and heart. Hulk say double dip mean double profits.

Hulk get extra mad if Iron Man outgross Hulk. Hulk still mad he get kicked out of Avengers then shot in space.

isn't a short action packed set up what messed up hulk and xmen 2 and 3?

I would love to see a 2 1/2 hulk movie that is what made the old ones so good. Most notably Trail and Death of the Incredible hulk. It just seems the Marvel is banking more on Iron man then hulk when they should give them both the movies that the fans want.

If by "messed up" you mean "made awesome".

Er....I think you'd be in the minority thinking X-Men 3 was awesome.

X-men 2 was the longest of the three movies so no. X-men 2 was 133 minutes while X-men and X-men 3 were 104 minutes.

Also, Ang Lee's "Hulk" movie performed poorly because it WASN'T a fast-paced action movie. Lee tried to make an arthouse film using a concept guaranteed to draw people who just wanted to see "The Hulk" break stuff.

No, he wouldn't. Like you I hated that damn movie, but believe it or not WE'RE the ones in the minority - not only did most people I know really enjoy it, but IMDB.com's users have it rated at a 7.0.

I also thought the entire point of making this version was for that exact reason.

Love this show. Loved Stephen Root just casually appearing in the background at the end. Can't wait to see more of him next week.
