Don't know if you saw ESPN S.C. this evening, there was a very interesting and some what funny interview with Chad Johnson. It is up on espn.com, search the videos on the right side.
I have a feeling he winds up playing for the Bengals this year, this game he is playing(HOLDOUT!) is getting old now.
(edited by CajunMan on 2.4.08 2135) I'm CajunMan and I approve this message.
To add to the Bengals' drama at WR, it appears Chris Henry may once again be proving himself a tool (sports.espn.go.com)
For what it's worth, I'd gladly see the Eagles take Chad of their hands. He has been an increasing douchebag over the last twelve months, but "Please don't fine me" remains one of my favourite celebrations in all my time watching sports, so I give him a bunch of leeway for that.

That's like saying "I'd take losing over winning any day." Chad Johnson is a very good player, but I'm not even sure is the best WR on his own team now. All of those guys are equally insufferable when they aren't winning, but Chad's DEFINITELY #3 on that depth chart.
Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

And yet not a one of them has a Super Bowl ring to their name.
I'm inclined to give him a second chance with a new team. TO & Moss both had issues in two separate places (Min & Oak/SF & Phi). Sometimes it's best for everyone involved if they just get a change of scenery. I hope he gets a chance to get it.

And yet (putting aside the flat-out ridiculousness that "Super Bowl rings" is a somehow valid criterion for judging wide receivers, as though Plaxico Burress is now better than all of these guys because the Giants' D-Line and coaches outperformed their Patriots' counterparts and the 2003 Patriots wide receiver crew (Deion Branch, David Patten, and Troy Brown)was superior to the 2007 version of same) two of those guys have at least MADE it to the Super Bowl, which one Mr. Ocho-Cinco can't say.

To be fair, Chad at least doesn't share TO's tendancy for pass droppery. I'm one of those who bears TO little ill will for his time in Philly (Brad Childress repeatedly 'hello-ing' him at team meetings was pretty immature in itself) but I still think Johnson's the better player.
I also think Plaxico has been nigh on uncoverable at times over the last two years, but he does seem to rack up his stats against teams with smaller corners. Like the Eagles. *#@#**!.
Oh, and on Chris Henry, if you've racked up so many legal issues that the f'n Bengals are cutting you? That ain't good.
EDIT - In spite of my praise for Chad, he apprently disagrees with my assessment of Mr Henry. Loser.
"Disgruntled star receiver Chad Johnson was stunned when told of Henry's release.
"Are you sure? Man, they can't let him go. That dude is good. He's very, very good," Johnson said on 1050 ESPN New York.
"We need him. Those are not easy shoes to fill, regardless of the trouble he has gotten into in the past," Johnson said." Source: ESPN
