But Jericho's a sport. I think he's gonna have to turn on Jeff after Mania to get things going again. It probably also stings that Big Show re-signed just three months after Chris did and he's in a Wrestlemania main event.
Jericho is my favorite wrestler of all time but he's not a top guy. Evidence: His entire career. Even when he was THE FIRST EVER UNDISPUTED CHAMPION he was wrestling Maven and Rikishi on TV and main evented Wrestlemania X8 by default as a Stephanie McMahon proxy in a match that wasn't very good. He's held the IC title something like four times since that reign, too, even though all of those reigns were short (some were very short!). I think that him as IC champ where he could theoretically bring some focus to himself and the belt, when both have been lost in the "shuffle" lately, ideally, is a pretty good role for him. And given the way he's been booked lately, it's probably actually a step up.
Was I the only person who noticed that during their fight on the floor, Mark Henry rolled back into the ring and out again against the Undertaker? HE BROKE THE COUNT IN A CASKET MATCH. I was laughing for hours...
Eh, I'm not sold on the "angle turning into a shoot" thing from last night. Seems like something the guys in the back would want to start to add more fire to the Show/Mayweather match.

Not only that, but Undertaker did the same thing a few seconds later.
That doesn't surprise me at all about Cena. When he does sitdown interviews and when he does promos where he doesn't have to come across as overly intense or overly comical, he sounds like an intelligent guy. As boring as I find him most of the time, he exudes a certain "this is our top guy" aura. Whether it's women folk that like his muscle tone, kids that like his super hero-esque booking, or a few less cynical smarks that appreciate his PPV matches, the guy is where he is for a reason. It's not like he rolled out of OVW and they pushed him to the stars. He had decent workrate, his original heel character was massively over, and he really didn't start looking so unstoppable until his second US title reign.
Why am I defending Cena? Because I can't really think of anything on Raw to talk about in depth.
Like someone else said, Hardy/Jericho was good, but it seemed to be lacking something. Didn't see the first hour because I forgot it was 3 this week, but Henry/UT doesn't seem like the sort of thing I'd lose sleep over. I also hate the gogoplata just because it doesn't fit an unstoppable dead man. Henry's one of the few bigger men that can take the chokeslam without making Taker look bad so just do that. I don't mind it so much in a non-pinfall match, but it doesn't make sense when he slaps it on Big Daddy V because, technically, he's allowing himself to be pinned, so it just looks stupid.
Cena/HBK was pretty good too. Seemed a bit slow in places and I'm a guy that likes counter holds and whatnot. I did think it was funny that immediately after Cena hit the ring post, HBK did too.
Cena-Orton vs the entire roster can only end one way. Simultaneous RKO/FU to the last two guys in the ring, they brawl, Dr. HHH prescribes two Pedigrees and to call him at Wrestlemania. Didn't HBK/Cena job out like 16 guys last year before HBK suddenly realized instead of getting beat up he could just elimiante Cena himself?
Cena can't be beat because he's some unholy genetic recombinate of superstars past. I mean, you might as well call him John "Realest of the Real, Sargent Rock - Cold - A - Mania" Cena.
I believe the timeframe covers either November to October or December to November. (Justin can probably confirm the dates.) Note that some of the overall awards are available to both wrestling and MMA organizations.
