My turn again? Jeebus!

JACK OF FABLES #20: Really good issue giving us our Line of the Week from Humpty Dumpty... "I don't have a penis." Jack really comes off as a total dick who only cares about himself in here to, which I gotta say is the ONLY way I want him to be.

COUNTDOWN TO FINAL CRISIS #9: This book is also kicking into high gear (finally!) Piper using the Anti-Life Equation is fucking awesome! Nice to see him DO something finally. I also liked that different characters took the time to say "What is 'so-and-so' doing here on Apokolips?" cause if they all just met up and didn't think it was odd, I'd be pulling out my hair.

TEEN TITANS #56: Clock King? I thought he was dead. My guess is that it's the originals son/brother/nephew/neighbor/whatever. The Terror Titans just sound retarded, bad name for the group. I did like the guy with Wonder Girls panties on his head though; but still, this was pretty bad, and I really like Kid Devil, which is dis-heartening cause the whole issue centered on him.

ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN #9: I hate to say this, but I (Finally!) kinda liked this issue. It still had it's problems, but the Hal Jordan fight was pretty awesome and the dialogue wasn't as bad as usual.

AUTHORITY PRIME #5: Damnit! Why the hell do they ALWAYS have to start a new Authority series with a story of them fighting Bendix. It's annoying because I like the characters but they keep fighting the same guy over and over. Very disappointing.

JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #13: Nice history lesson about Gog and Magog. Also nice to see KC Superman interacting with regular Superman. I'm really liking this story so far and I fear it's gonna turn complete shit sooner or later.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #35: Much like the nonsense with Spider-Man, I'm quiting this book. I really hate to do it, but I'm not buying 'Bucky America'. The Captain America I know and love doesn't run around threatening to shoot people in the head. Arnim Zola? Not happy about this shit...

DAREDEVIL #105: ...which is funny because I like Brubakers' Daredevil. Mr Fear is a total bastard. The reveal of him killing his chemist so there wouldn't be a cure for Milla is so horrible. Hopefully, she'll be gone for a good long while. I also liked The Hood in this issue. Brubaker does in a few panels what Bendis can't do in whole storylines, which is make him a decent character.

THOR #6: Well, that was a rush. I though the idea behind this series was the first 12 issues were gonna be Thor going around the world seeking out all the Asgardians, but with JMS leaving Marvel for DC, I guess he needed to cut some fat. Good issue with normal people sitting around telling stories of the gods they've met, but it just felt rushed at the end. I think I'm ok with the female Loki... I hope it leads to some girl on girl action with the enchantress later on... hubba hubba!

THE SPIRIT #14: This is Sergio Aragones first issue. If you love his GROO, you gotta buy this as well... just because.

Lastly... KICK ASS #1: Interesting read. No clue where this is going and I'm glad. I like that the only person getting thier ass kicked was the main character... what a dumbass. John Romita Jr's art was very nice.

I think DD may have gone on a little too long. I'll be very intersted to see what Rucka as co-writer does to amp up the book.

Fables and Jack were both great.

I've got a fat stack of two weeks' worth of books still to go through.

LSH and Action were also stellar.

Best book I've read so far today is probably the Iron Fist one-shot.

Rucka throwing his hat in with Marvel makes me a sad panda, especially after reading...

52 AFTERMATH: THE CRIME BIBLE #5 of 5: This was an absolutely brilliant series...with one notable problem. The ending is VERY inconclusive and just when you want to know what happens next, it just ends. Still, a great series for fans of both Renee Montoya and the classic Vic Sage stories. Pick up the trade!

I don't trust anyone at DC other than Rucka to successfully write Renee Montoya. Her presence has been confirmed for Final Crisis, but I can't see Grant Morrison writing her character effectively. You'll be missed, Brother Rucka. Come back soon. No matter how stoked I am that the original Gotham Central team has been re-united.

I don't mind Bucky so much, because if his Captain America was just like the old one, it would defeat the purpose of killing off Steve Rogers in the first place. And I did like the way they established in the last issue that since Bucky doesn't have the Super Soldier formula crutch, he has to rely on his weapons and soldier training.

Steve Rogers will come back soon enough (it's barely been one year since the man died), but until then, I'm enjoying Bucky America.

What I'm NOT buying is the plot for Countdown. I realize Batman's satellite is powerful, but powerful enough to assimilate an entire planet of GODS? That's a little much (and for a comic book, that speaks volumes). I did like what they did with Piper and if anyone's kept up with Desaad over the years, they know that he really DID have that coming.

After reading Silver Surfer: Requiem and Thor, I'm very excited about JMS coming to DC. Any chance he finishes Salvation Run for the ailing Bill Willingham?

Rucka isn't leaving DC.

He is just giving up his exclusive.

I believe he said on his LJ that there's a Renee sequel coming.

That you shouldn't be doing it since its going to end up killing comic books in the end. Actually, here you go http://marvel.com/digital_comics but you should really just get the regular subscriptions.
