Rey Mysterio suffered what is believed to be a torn right biceps last night in a match in Santiago, Chile. He flew back to the U.S. to meet with Dr. James Andrews. He hasn't had an MRI done. His mentality right now is that at all costs, he does not want to miss Wrestlemania, so if surgery is recommended, he's going to have a major decision to make. We won't know about Sunday's PPV until after he sees Andrews and they determine the severity of the injury. They could have him show up and do an injury angle because there are no TV's left before No Way Out, where he was scheduled to face Edge for the World title. Surgery would put him out around six months.

Maybe Cena has some rehab tips he can share?
Ehh, there's some TV left ... they could easily do a tape of him laying in a hallway somewhere and splice that into Smackdown on Friday with a voiceover from Cole and Coachman. "What the hell has happened to Rey Mysterio? Will he be able to compete at No Way Out? Tune in Sunday!" I haven't read the spoilers, but if he's in the main event it'd be easy enough to cut afterwards to a ref walking(tm) and coming across a prone body.
If Rey is bound and determined to compete at Mania, they could just stick him in the Money in the Bank match and 'eliminate' him within the first few minutes ala the big Edge-Hardy spot from last year. That would even provide a feud for Rey when he returns.
This is presuming, of course, that Rey is even healthy enough to compete in some form at No Way Out. It really sucks for poor Rey --- almost a year out with a knee injury, and now this.
“How is it that I am a good actor? What I do is I... pretend to be the person I’m portraying. You’re confused. Case in point: in Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson comes to me and says ‘I would like you to be Gandalf the Wizard,’ and I said ‘You are aware that I am not really a wizard?’ and Peter Jackson said ‘I would like you to use your acting skills to portray a wizard for the duration of the show.’ So I said ‘Okay’ and then I said to myself ‘Mmm.. How do I do that?’ And this is what I did: I imagined that I was a wizard, and then I pretended, and acted, in that way on the stage. How did I know what to say? The words were written down for me in a script. How did I know where to stand? People told me where to stand." -- Sir Ian McKellen, Extras
Not to Fantasy Book a scenario here, but it'd be a hell of an opportunity to give CM Punk some extra face time on Sunday. He wouldn't even have to win the match.

Good gravy, didn't Mysterio just come back from an injury less than six months ago? It can't be long before he gets released. He was originally brought in for his wrestling style, but that style goes out the window if he's injury prone. Without it, he's just a guy under six feet tall and we know how much Vince McMahon LOVES those guys. Hornswoggle notwithstanding, of course.
Don't mess with Superman Prime or he'll kill you to death!
He sells merch and is beloved by his peers, kids, and Hispanics. He probably won't ever get a top, top push again, considering they didn't do very much with him over this last comeback either. But I think he'll always have a spot.
I don't think the WWE would ever get rid of him again either. But considering his style and how often he's getting injured it might be time for him to decide to hang it up himself.
He could wrestle for years on name value alone while doing very little in the ring back in Mexico. (Many already do!) Even with injuries or without WWE, Rey could be in the ring many more decades if that's what he wanted to do.
