Our new house. We have been looking for a long time and we have had trouble finding financing, but a friend of mine is selling to me on a land contract.
-Having a friend visit from Ontario in May -My vacations to Utah in August and Toronto in December -Taking on a new apartment (sans roomates!) in February. -Buying a PS3 when GTA4 is released.
...all thanks to the job that I look forward to going to everyday.
Wow! congrats to all getting married this year. What I am looking forward to:
Jeff Dunham in Feb Rush this summer WrestleMania The start of the NASCAR, F1, IRL and Champcar seasons. My trip to the Indy 500 in May. Some real vacation time, camping trip(s) The NFL offseason all the way up to kickoff in September
Chuck Norris drives an ice cream truck covered in human skulls.
Our nuptials were supposed to take place in '08, but we've decided to push them back to '09. 4 sets of our friends are getting married in '08, so we decided to be different (and save for the type of extravagant wedding she wants)
I guess I'll be looking forward to more happiness and health and Smash Bros.
I have to say, there are quite a few things I am looking forward to in '08 but they would all be negated instantly if Hilary Clinton is elected President. That's the end-of-times scenario in my book. So I'm really more dreading the coming year and won't be able to enjoy it until it's almost over with anyways.

Michigan against the SEC: 20-5-1 (7-3 in bowl games)
I'm looking forward to the new Guns 'n Roses album, Chinese Democracy, if it's finished. Also the new one by Metallica and perhaps if I'm lucky the last Johnny Cash on American Recordings.
I'm also looking forward to getting rid of my 1997 Hyundai Accent with all it's problems and getting my 2003 Honda Accord.
- The sporadic arrivals of all of the things I bought online during post-holiday sales - Trip to Georgia to visit girlfriend's extended family - Trip to northern California just for fun - Moving to a cheaper and more conveniently located apartment - Doctoral qualifying exams!

Two words for you, dude: Quin-cy. I'm loving living here, and my rent is under $800 a month.
The one thing I do enjoy about smaller cities is the cheaper rent. Even your rent sounds ridiculous to me, Lou. I live in a two-bedroom apartment that normally would go for $500, but because my boss is the owner of it, I get it cheaper than that. On campus I think there are 4 bedroom apartments going for $800 a month.
I know exactly what you're saying. My girl and I were looking, and you can buy a livable house in Raleigh, NC for 50k. A nice house for 100k. A PALACE for 200k. 200k wouldn't buy you a SHACK in Massachusetts. But unfortunately, I would have moved out of state a long while ago if it wasn't for two things:
1) It'd be hard for me to find a decent job in a non-big city 2) My daughter lives in Massachusetts.
So, looks like I'm stuck here for a while. At least until my daughter gets old enough to decide she wants to live with me.

IJ's fifth birthday (which already happened but qualified) A trip to Pieland to see my folks (Note: pieman is NOT my Dad.) Buying the PS3 when I get around to it Income tax refund (just got my W-2 today) Finally pulling the trigger on a HD TV 19-0 Junior in a Hendrick car Pavlik-Taylor II, Pacquaio-Barrera II, and what looks like a great year of big fights
And finally, hiring an assistant (now accepting resumés).
Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

Do you already have your visa to re-enter The State of Maine? When is this visit east scheduled anyway? I was not apprised of this situation. First Bullitt is taking his wife through Pieland and now you? Geeze.
CRZ had to edit my profile and close my table for me before, but I did this one all by myself with Frosty's help!

That would increase my commute to Tufts by over 10 miles each way. I'm fine biking 10 miles a day, but over 30 is just a bit too much, especially in the dead of winter.
We live in a 500 sq ft apt in Brighton and the rent is $1200 a month. Yeah it's absurdly expensive but also an absurdly fun area for us right now.
We're looking at the Everett/Revere area for the move.
